    It's about the money bro

You missed my point, let me clarify. PBF should be fighting for money not pride. PBF doesn't need to fight margo now because there are more lucrative fights out there. we already know cotto and hatton are not legit champs, so pbf can forget fighting them. That leaves

    1. mosley = biggest name out there and able to generate the most ppv buys (800,000) mosley is stronger and bigger just like margo

    2. Baldomir = linear champ and IF he beats gatti I would fight him next not moseley.

    3. Margo= ppv date is oct7th not nov 4th, blame the genius of bob arum.

The ideal scenario is for baldo to win and for him and pbf to fight on nov 4th with mosley taking a tuneup at welterweight on the same card. This sets up a megafight in Feb 07.

You act as if October and November are 6 months apart. You think Mosley/Mayweather would generate 800,000 PPV buys?lololololol, if that were true then who needs Oscar?,lol.

once again this leaves margarito as the number one option if you look at the money. let me expain it to you.

1.) Shane Mosley- biggest name ppv wise with huge wins over DLH and Vargas and good ppv numbers. would generate good money, BUT mosley is no fool and understands his popularity and position and he will DEMAND an equal cut of the purse if not a little less or more. therefor although the total revenue generated is greater the share that PBF takes home is less than in a proposed Margarito fight.

2.Baldomir, come on. Are you serious, NOBODY wants to see this and PBF haters, lovers, fans (me), and nuetral observers have agreed if he takes this fight he' not managing his career right. this will not get him paid more than 8 million by any meas and it will not be a meaningful win, thi guy has 3 more KO wins than losses (12 and 9). I dont think HBO would even accept him for floyd so we'll see.

3.) AM- 8mill minimum, margarito taking a small payday to do it.

Moneywise its the way to go.

Ya feel me. Pbf has a nov 4th date and it will either be

          1. mosley ( I prefer he fight him)
          2. Baldomir (linear weleter champion)
          3. Margo ( big ass middleweight looking to cash in)

When you get to the top of the mountain you don't start fighting guys that are unproven, it doesn't make good business sense. Margo should prove himself by taking on paul williams, carlos quintana or winky wright, but screaming for a pbf right now ain't going to make the fight happen
Fighting Margarito is not good business for Floyd? Your dumbass just said that Mayweather fights for money, didn't you know Mayweather is being offered 8 mil?....

            8 mil is not guaranteed

You obviously haven't been around boxing long enough to get what Arum is trying to do.He keeps saying he will give pbf 8 mil, did you ask yourself the big question which is WHY? Margo could not generate 8 mil in his last 10 fights but now he will help bob recoup 8 mil he will so graciously give to pbf. have you seen the contract that was offered? If not shut the fu#k up!

Arum set the ppv date for margo as 0ct 8th so he needs to find somebody else to fight his boy this year and it ain't going to be pbf UNLESS bit baldomir and mosley lose. And say what you want about baldo if he beats gatti that will be two bigger names in the market that margarito don't have in his record.

what arum is trying to do is have a mexican fighter who beat the worlds number one #4# and generate interest amongst the latino fans like no other boxer in his stable is doing now. he feels margaritos chances are worth the shot. Credible reports say the 8 mill is guaranteed, has bob told you otherwise?

Ive said it before and ill say it again.
                Those numbers dont make sense.
The Taylor v Wright fight that just happened was for a TOTAL PURSE of 7 million, and that was for the Undisputed (minus crooked orginizations) Middleweight Championship of the World.

they sound very high but floyds camp hasnt denied their validity, though they have said they have a more lucrative offer, but that's to be seen.
i think arum is taking a risk with margarito and then hoping to cash in with him later

I don't get my info from bob's camp

I get my info from PBF's camp, Bob stuck a rematch clause in the contract and the 8 mill is for two fights 4 mill plus 15% of ppv buys, so it is not 8 mill coming from bob arum's pocket. I don't think pbf vs margo would do 600,000 bys which is what it would take for pbf to get 8 mill for the fight. Margo is to unknown and needs to be trying to fight zab, paul williams, quintana guys with HBO exposure. If Margo plays his cards right he will get paid nore than 1 million to fight PBF.

And what the hell does margo being a mexican have to do with beating pbf. You mexicans think you will ever dominate africans in anything? Do you know where you come from talking that crap. I don't respect any group of people who think they are better than the original. Mexicans are copies of Africans and poor copies at that.

wow man that last statemant was very ignorant. the only reason i mentioned him being mexican is becuase most fighters have a fan base that is of their own ethnicity and nationality, and the fan base is what generates interest and profit. and used that for the reason arum may be willing to offer floyd so much, for future revenue generated by success on margaritos part. I never said it for any other reason. i am mexican but i do not think myself better than anyone else or inferior. "poor copies at that", thats your opinion and i dont agree but i cant deny a person his opinion, as irrational as it may be.
