What great fights? All ive seen from PBC on "free Tv" is crap like Alexander-Berto and rejects like Ishe Smith headlining. Haymon may pay his fighters well but he hasn't done **** to help boxing's popularity and well being in the United States. And if you're referring to PBC on Showtime well that doesn't mean ****. Showtime Boxing has existed long before Al Haymon was around. I thought the purpose of PBC was to get away from premium cable. What happened to that???

theres not many but my point is haymons got all this talent and the platform to market these fighters but he just cant generate a buzz around them. I dont see how this deal is great news, PBC and haymons control on things has coincided with the period of the least popularity in boxing stateside.

Showtime is the best boxing network right now and thats BECAUSE OF AL HAYMON.

HBO is dead, ESPN is ok but their production is trash and they only have Lomachenko and Crawford. DAZN is a fcking app

.... and '20 top flight telecasts' a year i almost spat out my drink. we get about 5 'top flight' ones a year if that, the rest are a 'top flight' fighter beating up an overmatched opponent, that doesnt make it a 'top flight telecast'

They probably consider every time a world champion fights a "top flight telecast" no matter who how bad his opponent is. I would imagine that **** like Wilder-Arreola would fit that bill of this "top flight telecast".

A deal is great but for the long term health of the sport there needs more after a deal. For instance the fact that top rank wont work with pbc will actually work in the advantage of the sport when spence vs Crawford happens. It would have built so much hype that it will make huge money. FOX and ESPN are happy. But what happens when you cant rely on those two how do you keep boxing on the up. WE NEED CONSISTANCY AND BOTTOM LINE IN SIMILAR TO THE UFC

wheres this hype coming from though man? theyve been in the same division for a few months and i dont see any hype coming from anywhere, nothing seems to be gathering any sort of steam. i really dont see anything in that match up which is going to get casual fans saying i must buy that fight, neither guy has a personality that sells and they both have the same fanbase which takes away a lot of the rivalry in the build up which is one of the main things that get fans on board, people want to take sides and cheer on one fighter passionately. The biggest fights usually have two opposite and passionate fanbases
