Nothing is wrong. The average person would rather buy tickets to the MEGA fight Fury/Wilder than this rematch, as good as it will be.

I think the fans fully expect both guys to fight smart and respect each other's power in the rematch, and that doesn't sell very well.
well yeah, it could be that too.

I always said if Manny v Floyd II happened, it'd generate far less interest because the first was a bit of a stinker/routine Floyd win. It'd still be big, just as i think GGG v Canelo will still do good numbers, but the anticipation is gone.

I’m still hyped for the rematch, I was at the first fight and will be flying over to Vegas for this one too.

There's barely been any ***ing promotion. Canelo was in hiding until about a week ago.

I'm going to be in vegas that week...was looking at prices but $500 to sit in the f'ing nosebleeds..foh. If i'm paying a grand for a fight or more to sit in decent seats I want it to be worth it and I don't think this is going to be worth dropping a g a seat for. If I find some last minute tickets of some "i can't attend" people i'll go at a discount.

Last time, a lot of casuals were interested. Even people i know that barely watch boxing were talking about it, but i think the robbery left a sour taste in a lot of peoples mouths and drove them away.
I think you got right to the core of the problem. People don't want to be played as suckers.

Perhaps more interest for us die-hards but not from the general public.
Here's some fairly recent big fight examples:
(For the record I'm not calling any of these "robberies" just controversial).

                  Kov v Ward 1 - 165k ppv - 10,066 tix sold - $3.3M gate
                  Kov v Ward 2 - 130k ppv -- 6,366 tix sold - $2.2M gate

                  Pac v Bradley 1 - 900k ppv - 13,229 tix sold - $8.9M gate
                  Pac v Bradley 2 - 800k ppv - 14,099 tix sold - $7.9M gate
                  Pac v Bradley 3 - 500k ppv - 13,046 tix sold - $6.4M gate

                  May v Maidana 1 - 900k ppv - 15,718 tix sold - $15.0M gate
                  May v Maidana 2 - 925k ppv - 14,859 tix sold - $14.9M gate

                  GGG v Canelo 1 - 1.3M ppv - 17,318 tix sold - $27.1M gate
                  GGG v Canelo 2 - ???

What a terrible list of comparisons. Ward/Kovalev only had hardcore interests to begin with. Pac and Bradley didn't rematch until later on and Pac's solo drawing power was weakening by that point (amazing that he nearly pulled the same numbers and I credit that to the controversy from the first). And no one saw Mayweather vs Maidana as a robbery except for a few complete morons.

Umm, I specifically left the disclaimer that they weren't all robberies yet you still took the bait! Best list I could come up with.
Well do you have any comparables? Why crap on the list I provided & offer nothing once again except your opinion without backing anything up? The fact stands that re-matches RARELY draw more interest which is totally counter to your assertion!
