    nope

I think it was close as fk and could have gone either way..... and have no problem with anyone awarding that fight to EITHER fighter by the closest of margins

I can EASILY see why old school observers awarded that fight to the boxer who rendered the stalker/pressure fighter, largely-ineffective..... Ring Generalship and Defense, count

I can also easily see why other observers think that Golovkin did enough to hold onto his titles..... what with the fat red kid taking so much time off in the middle rounds

but I don't agree with Byrd, and I don't agree with the HOARDS of Golovkin fans who saw him win "EASY"

there was nothing easy about that fight for Golovkin

You may not agree with the hoards of Golovkin fans but the majority of boxing experts agreed with them No it wasn't easy but I had Golovkin winning by 4 rounds. Ironically IMO most old school observers have Golovkin winning . Canelo put up a good fight had excellent combinations, quick hands and good upper body movement. What really surprised me was how well he took a punch. What prevented him from winning were IMO.
Giving up the ring center where he had success, moving backwards without punching, not neutralizing the jab, not forcing Golovkin to the ropes even once if I recall properly. Canelo's power punches had very little effect in controlling Golovkin and stopping him from advancing and landing punches. Giving up the middle rounds, yeah that was either a mistake in tactics or his stamina let him down. Golovkin made some errors also. Most notably being too tentative in the second and third rounds. I gave the first to Golovkin for numerous reasons. First Canelo's body language was very bad. For the majority of the first round he did not look like a guy who wanted to take the title away from the champion. Secondly he was too inactive. Thirdly he gave ground at times for no reason other than than Golovkin was advancing. During those times he didn't give ground to set a trap or to move to the side and land punches, he just gave ground.
Overall Golovkin should have gone to the body more. I think he thought he was in control and what he did was working so there was no need to change up.
Golovkin's jab won him the fight without a doubt.

Hell yeah bro! And the new!!!! When we heard that we all went crazy.. I knew canelo would be more ready this second time.. He is just a better boxer then ggg plain and simple. No shame for ggg because canelo is great and better than most. But he lost, on to the next one.

Hell yeah! It was a great performance & victory for Canelo.
From the weigh in where Canelo got in Golovkin's face & let him know , I'm coming to destroy you boy , to the fight where he came straight ahead like a bull & put a beating on the much bigger guy , taking his belts in style.
