Anybody who rejects reality in favor of fantasy is a nut,
weather they are a fan of Canelo, Golovkin, Wilder, Joshua,
    or any other fighter.

Everyone will save themselves a lot of heartache if they
stop allowing themselves to develop such an emotional
attachment to certain fighters. I understand how it is,
but boxing is not like other sports where you'll be cheering
for the same team for the rest of your life. Boxing is a cold
world that moves quickly, and it leaves sensitive people
    behind in the dust.

Did you know there is a theory that insane people see themselves as they really are. Sane people have a bit of self delusion that allows them to cope with everyday life. I don't think it's quite that simple but there is some truth to it. Everybody does it. However thinking that boxing can be corrupt doesn't automatically relegate a person to the loony bin.

That's true. I'm not implying that corruption does not
or cannot exist in boxing. That would be a foolish opinion
that is not supported by fact.

I just don't believe people should jump to conclusions
about corruption when three different people, who each
view the same fight from three different angles, have
somewhat different opinions about what they saw.
Especially in close fights or with contrasting styles. I get
the impression that some 'fans' seem to believe that each
judge is watching the same broadcast that the television
audience sees, and that judges are inhuman robots who
are immune to having any differences in personal tastes.

Despite the controversial verdict, we were probably all on
the edges of our seats during the fight. It was an exciting
fight, if not a 'great fight', and we'll have the opportunity
to see them do it again very soon. Hopefully there will be
less to discuss in the aftermath of the rematch.

I believe that's what large groups of sheep are called.
Since those who think GGG won are a more diverse group than Canelo fanboys, how does this happen?

And besides all that stuff, he's also got your goat.

But seriously, Golovkin must have the biggest **** since
there is so much room for all of you to swing on it.

I agree with this completely. I'm a HUGE Canelo fan, but I don't overrate him. He lost to Floyd, probably should've lost to Lara, arguably lost to Trout and Gennady. Hell Cotto gave him a tough fight. Canelo is no GOAT or ATG at any weight (yet). I don't think he'll ever be an ATG or GOAT, but he's fun to watch and I like his style.

Similarly Gennady is a good fighter (for this era), but he's no ATG or GOAT. The dude has - literally - the weakest era of anyone boxing today. 4 world champion opponents in an era with 4+ champions per weight class. Why mention "per weight class"??? Because about half of his opponents are dragged up JMW like Stevens, Rosado, Canelo, Vanes, etc.

Hell 1 of his "champion" opponents was WELTERWEIGHT Kell (147 pounds) Brooks. Gennady wouldn't budge 3, 2, or even 1 pound and required this 147 pound fighter to move up 13 pounds.

He proceeded to get busted up by the little WW before the man's frame inevitably gave way...bone structures at 147 and 160 are DIFFERENT.

Gennady would've been sparked by Pavlik, Sergio, PWill, and Taylor. I honestly believe that.
