I forgot how much of a height and reach advantage Joshua has at 6-6 with a 82 inch reach versus Povetkin who is 6-2 with a 75 inch reach.

If Joshua is disciplined and does not get into a slugfest, he can keep Povetkin at the end of his jab and set up his power shots. But Joshua gets into brawls sometimes and opens himself up for power shots.

it doesn't take an accountant to have common sense. Just look up the flat fee offers that both pac and ggg turned down for their fights vs mayweather and Canelo respectively and then see how much they actually made once the fight happened once they got a ppv cut. In both of those cases there were ignorant fans who said that they should take the flat fee because it's the most they've ever made, blah blah blah. They wound up making millions more in the case of ggg and about 60 mil more in the case of pac. And now here we are again, with ****** fans of Joshua, making the same ignorant arguement.

Those guys you mentioned above are ppv fighters so they are entitled to ppv money because they attract fans as well to pay for the fight.

are you even aware of gggs ppv #s before Canelo? It's all about the demand for the fight and Joshua vs Wilder is the highest demanded fight at the moment. Therefore wilder deserves a cut. Be sensible.

I want this fight to pick up steam, but everyone knows that if Joshua the trinket belt holder of false titles picked Headvetkin, then that means they think that Headvetkin is washed. I hope it's a good fight, I really do. Joshua is such a ****en coward to me that I can't find anything good to say about him anymore. I really can't.

Man, I feel the same. When he first came on the scene I thought he was a breath of fresh air. A humble guy with a good work ethic and he seemed likeable, but the more his career develops he just annoys the hell out of me.

Everything is so scripted and manufactured. The guy can't even post a tweet without an airbrushed picture and a corny a$$ quote next to it, it's hideous. Everything in his career now will be a damn 'business move'. The only way that changes is if AJ gets called out and humiliated enough to make him demand it out of shame.

Unless that happens, this is what I think the next few fights look like...

- September 18: A 39 year old, over the hill, nearly KO'd by David Price, Povetkin being titled as the "biggest test of AJ's career. WBA mandatory
- April 19: Dillian Whyte rematch, a bit of beef to add to the hype after more disappointment of Wilder fight not happening.
- Sept 19: Jarrell Miller in the US after Miller wins the WBA Regular off of Charr. A nice easy US debut and a good fight to excite.
- Dec 19: IBF mandatory.
- 2020: Wilder or Fury

Barry Hearn has already stated, in many videos, that Wilder shouldn't be touched for 18 months - 2 years. Eddie called him the "biggest roll of the dice". There's no way that fight happens in April. Zero chance.

If Fury fights and beats Wilder, then that fight may happen earlier, but the BT v Sky issues creates a good reason for Eddie to avoid it.

AJ doesn't get the credit he deserve. Fighting a serial champ at fight #19 and unifying at fight #21 is a remarkable achievement.
Some fighters @ fight #30 were still fighting retired footballers and uber drivers.

i just wonder why he didn't go after the WBC title first. He was ranked #2 but dropped out once Martin got that IBF strap.
