Only took Wilder 33 Fights to go for a World Title Shot, he had to wait for the WBC the best belt to come up . Not that he was to scared to go for the other belts, or since winning the WBC unify them, it is just because they are trinket belts, not worth it for someone of his talent. Joshua is fighting Povetkin as he is washed up, we can see that from his last few fights. Where as Wilder is fighting Tyson Fury who looked great in his last two fights. Maybe Joshua will be ready for Wilder when he has 33 fights in, does it make him a coward ask Wilder he was born ready and has avoided no one.

it seems as if you have Joshua's plunger too far down your throat to see the obvious truth. Nobody will accept a flat fee of 15 mil for a fight that will be a mil plus ppv event. You'd have to be ****** not to see that. Btw, who the hell calls somebody gumbo? Is that some weird brit s**t?

The styles seem to matchup for a slugfest - but Povetkin has to be ready for Joshua trying to use some of the Wlad approach, he can't let himself get tied up like that without trying to fight out of it. That's on him

It seems that even some Joshua supporters feel like he needs to remind the public who he is as a champ - some of the fallout of the Wilder things seems to have chipped away at that. So if we don't see any signs of Joshua separating himself as the rounds progress and Povetkin still looks urgent maybe the tone of hte fight can change. Povetkin is in a pretty good position right now I think, not much pressure or attention on him

AJ said he wasn't fighting in Vegas. He said he would take a reduction of the 50M to fight in U.K. Do you remember that?

He KO’d everyone he fought up until Parker. Some of the performances were very good, but against limited opposition. He smashed Molina, stopped Johnson early, beat up Whyte, Breazeale and Martin... can’t argue too much with any of those performances. He was dominant in all of them.

Wlad fight was a ropey performance, but a great fight for the fans. It might not have been peak Wlad, but he was motivated and in shape, and experience counts for an awful lot. I think getting off the canvas could be a huge plus for Joshua too.

Takam was the first poor performance - Joshua struggled to adjust to the late change of opponent, which could point to a lack of boxing IQ. He still won pretty much every round, but the poor stoppage overshadowed the fight.

Parker was an odd one, Joshua got a lot of help from the ref, and seemed reluctant to exchange. Made me wonder if the Wlad fight had made him rethink his style.

AJ doesn't get the credit he deserve. Fighting a serial champ at fight #19 and unifying at fight #21 is a remarkable achievement.
Some fighters @ fight #30 were still fighting retired footballers and uber drivers.

That's true, the champ does, but he said offer him 50M and he will take the fight. He didn't specify "where". I think he only used to the where to not to take the fight.

No doubt Joshua is still learning and the Wlad tactics are a must against smaller opponents, with Parker simple easy win, ref helped as Joshua has the keep at distance jab bit and then a big straight punch, but maybe not the holding and leaning part when the smaller guy gets close. Possibly he is to proud to do all the holding and leaning and it is not in his nature as yet. Got to be learned though as you can gain a rest, wear out your opponent or prevent a knockdown when stunned a bit. Wlad was not ready for a guy bigger than him who could move as his tactics did not work, 2nd time he was more ready for a big guy with Joshua.

it doesn't take an accountant to have common sense. Just look up the flat fee offers that both pac and ggg turned down for their fights vs mayweather and Canelo respectively and then see how much they actually made once the fight happened once they got a ppv cut. In both of those cases there were ignorant fans who said that they should take the flat fee because it's the most they've ever made, blah blah blah. They wound up making millions more in the case of ggg and about 60 mil more in the case of pac. And now here we are again, with ****** fans of Joshua, making the same ignorant arguement.
