Same way GGG was being “Ducked” before the first Canelo fight, at the end of the day once Wilder destroys Fury he can then command a better leverage than he thinks he’s worth. Right now him and his team are marinating the Joshua fight for a bigger piece of the pie.
No matter how you try and spin this, boxing business logic wins. Oh and who exactly ducked GGG that was gonna help him make purses bigger than the purses he's made that were similar to Wilder's? The difference between Alvarez and Joshua is, people wanted to see Alvarez get beat and wanted to see GGG validated, whereas people (generally from the UK) don't want to see Joshua beat and people (like yourself) don't want to see Wilder validated or get paid..extra emphasis on don't want to see Wilder get paid.
The fact that a fan of boxing, knowing that these guys risk their lives every time out would actually hope that a fighter gets less money is an atrocity. You want Wilder to not focus on the money while Joshua makes it ONLY about money. Ridiculous.

My only point was to say how disgusting it is hear a promoter completely take their fans' loyalty for granted. To say that they can ignore the other guy in the division that everyone wants their man to fight in order to wait him out, catch him slipping, marinate the fight, let the demand build, blah, blah, blah, etc. I wish they had some confidence in AJ and saw the first fight as a way to get a trilogy going. I don't think they believe AJ can best Wilder without getting destroyed.

Like literally ignore everything else and read what Wilder or finkle wanted them to read into it. There is a contract on the table. If someone is ducking you then sign it. If you think that fight would get bigger like most knowledgeable thinks then don’t sign it. And hide behind the “They don’t want the fight” theme.
In contrast, Shirley Winkel says sissy things like,
"My baby Deontay will not be rushed to fight Klitschko."
In this case it's not even about money. It's about fear.
Fear of losing to an almost retired Wlad.
This is the guy who deserve more than $12.5 mil,
according to his defenders.
It's sick. This sport is fckd.
Who will be the next Deontay?
Fight scrubs most of your career,
then demand truckloads of money you don't even deserve.Last edited by rickJen; 09-03-2018, 12:55 PM.
