This is what happens when you say no to every offer made.
It started with the $12.5 mil, and Wilder said no.
An amount that he cannot make fighting scrubs in the US.
The four belts that are on the line had no value.
Not to mention the chance to become king in the division,
thus become the dictator of his next fight, like the AJ rematch, for example.
That chance is gone gone gone.
So now he and his team had to come up with at least 4 fights after the Fury fight.
Fights that would guarantee him victory for 2 years.
Man he got closed to being stopped by a 40 yr old Ortiz.
And why would fans want to see him fight 4 scrubs?

So Wilder should take less than 20% just because it's more money that he's ever made before? I guess in your book he should just allow Joshua to make an extra 10 to 15 million off of him.

Hearn says the fight make up to 80 million dollars. Who else can Joshua fight to make that much?

Yes possibly but the flat fee was agreed by Wilder so as discouraging as it may have been it was accepted grudgingly by team Wilder but they infact were posturing even after accepting the deal. Maybe Hearn was not keen on the deal but you can not tell me Team Wilder were keen about accepting terms?

Wilder was pissed, and he didn't want to accept that offer, but what could he do? He already offered the man $50 million! You can't do much more than that! I would've ended negotiations at that point!

Lololololol. Let’s make no mistake here that 50 million offer benefits Wilder hugely. He was not putting up the money so he benefits immensely from fighting at home.. Basically all the home comforts that is usually associated with the Home fighter/ A side fighter

The money aspect was obviously amazing but realistically with conflicting Tv/ sponsorship deals even if both teams were willing it would have been difficult to come to fruition. However, what I will concede is that Joshua reason for not fighting abroad about giving back to the fans was absolute nonsense

Well that's probably going to be next. I don't think Breazeale fights Ortiz, but I think he's got next. Interesting style matchup for Wilder, assuming he gets by Fury.
