This is the long way of saying, " yes Big Dunn, my opinion of Mexican boxing is related to the fact that my 2 favorite fighters have a loss and a draw to Mexican boxers!"

If I was managing Loma's career I would not use the GGG blueprint of fighting bums. I would put him in with Salido, Mikey and Crawford.

I'd also put him in with Broner @ 147 to get him more exposure.

Mexican boxing seems to be doing fine compared to any country. Canelo the biggest star, Munguia possibly the future star. Berchelt-Roman should be exciting. MAB, Morales and JMM set the bar high because 3 ATGs at the same weight around the same time is unusual, especially if they're all from one country and that's not gonna happen every generation.

It's true there aren't as many standout Mexican boxers from bantam to superfeather like there have been in past eras but part of it is the matchmaking. There are still a lot of exciting Mexican fighters in those divisions and some of them are belt holders. But we just haven't seen the top guys collide often enough for any of them to have FOTY candidates, show their absolute best and become big stars.

i agree ggg was moved far too slowly at the start. ive been saying for years and years that fighters of a certain level should skip the 15 or so bums at start of career

I think we could market that like rocky v drago, only with a twist.

Now youve got fighters like canelo and zurdo flying your flag. Divas, drug cheats, marathon runners and cherry pickers. Theres still some decent fighters about but its not what it was, and the fighters attitude is not what it was either.

                  Wheres it all gone wrong?

Except he never beat him anyone who scored that fight in favor of solido is grasping for straws or dksab

Disagree. Sanchez, Barrera, Morales and JCC set the standard so high than even good Mexican boxers nowadays pale in comparison. Nothing wrong with that.
