If hes worried about being in a wheelchair, dont take the fight. But it's obvious he was looking for an advantage, and now he's feeding is bullsh it about it. And again, I'm not buying that was 175, so I'm asserting he had more than an extra 6 lbs to lose. I'd say it was closer to 15lbs over the 170 mark, myself

This. Jacobs kept stalling and I don´t think it was really about money.. he did absolutely everything he could to enter the ring in the best shape of his life, fought the fight of his life and still lost. It was close and competitive, but he lost. I admit I kind of understand DJ on this one even if I don´t like or respect what he did.The article doesn't mention that Jacobs had a fixed early weight in at 9 o clock in the morning instead of 2 o clock that they usually happen which gave him 5 extra hours to rehydrate. A little gift from the New York athletic commition for their home boy.
He was well above 180 more likely around 184 i would say.
The other thing that people dont mention is that he only registered with VADA 3 weeks before the fight while the fight was agreed about 6 months before it happenedComment

True. Team Jacobs thought they could pull a fast one and overpower Golovkin. I still see Jacobs at the final bell round hanging on the ropes on his knees thanking God he made it through that fight.Jacobs trying to make it sound like its no big deal skipping a weigh to get an advantage. I think any boxer would of had a problem with it. Jacobs is a big middleweight anyway so by cheating the system he created an unfair playing field. Still wasn’t enough because he lost.Comment

So he rehydrated 25+ pounds in 24 hours? If hes worried about being in a wheelchair, dont take the fight. But it's obvious he was looking for an advantage, and now he's feeding is bullsh it about it. About 175. Draining 20 plus pounds is a recipe for disaster when you need stamina and plan to use movement.Comment

Unfortunately, we don't have a way of knowing. It just looked like he was more than 5 lbs heavier than Golovkin, and that's assuming ggg didn't gain anymore weight between the 2nd weigh and the fight. He also looked a lot bigger than I did at 175.
But it's speculation, and I still think Danny should have done the 2nd weighComment

Stripping the guy who made weight 17 months ago of his belt
to hand it to the guy who refused their rules 17 months ago and ducked their weigh in lol.
