The organizations (WBA, WBC) need to have a uniform rule regarding fighter weight, and I don't just mean rehydration following the weigh-in. The problem is: What to do. And will I be the first to acknowledge that it is it is beyond me.

First, you know he’s lying because they’re using hyperbole, no one is saying 200 pounds. If he wanted fans to have all the info, don’t refuse hbo weigh in. Period.

Only in unifications. That way one fighter isn’t disadvantaged.

The article doesn't mention that Jacobs had a fixed early weight in at 9 o clock in the morning instead of 2 o clock that they usually happen which gave him 5 extra hours to rehydrate. A little gift from the New York athletic commition for their home boy.
He was well above 180 more likely around 184 i would say.
The other thing that people dont mention is that he only registered with VADA 3 weeks before the fight while the fight was agreed about 6 months before it happened

He then says 175 is normal for a MW, and immediately after that, admits he looked like a LHW in the ring. Wait, if he was 175 and 175 is normal for a MW, then he would have looked like a MW rather than a LHW. More bullsh it. Then, in some diva sh it, says "it's my prerogative to get up and weigh in..." B itch what!? It's not your prerogative, it's a rule mandated by the world title you're fighting for.

That's right, Jacobs is right when he says it's his own choice and own right to skip this weigh in and the IBF belt.

BUT BUT BUT, the problem is GGG as the IBF champ couldn't skip it and couldn't have that "rest" that Jacobs took and therefore they weren't on an "even playing field".

It was a close fight, but despite the fact that Jacobs lost by a close margin I'm not mad about DJ not having a rematch because he had that unfair (but legal) advantage.

Don't know if you guys ever had made weight (I did a bit with boxing and a quite a lot with judo) that sht weakens you both mentally and physically. Jacobs is right, what is more draining energy is the stress about officially making weight.

Bro that extra 6lbs+ pounds he would have had to shed could have been the difference with him fighting for a title and him being in a permanent wheelchair. Morally off course it is wrong but GGG had 3 belts up for grabs so what he loses 1 of them. I personally thought he would be brutally knocked out so I welcomed any conceivable advantage he could muster. I hear your point though but I don’t blame his decision
