When have we seen brand new gloves break...at any level of fighting? I haven't seen it. But there are people who watch far more boxing mma than me.
Oh and when have you seen new untested gloves used in a 'biggest fight of the year' type fight?

          Bigger, heavier, different padding, etc.

I'm sorry you can't answer my points, I'll try to make less in future but you gotta stop talking so much BS, meet me halfway here at least.

I don't know the specific rules and guidelines in each state, if you want a 'discussion' on the rules save yourself time and just look them up, nothing to discuss. Yeah I'd figure gloves have to be tested, you can't just show up on the night with a random pair and as long the weight is OK you can use them. Never heard of that as a rule TBH but maybe I'm just unaware and Canelo will get his own way on this. Regardless of current rules, my view is that no fighter should ever be able to manufacture their own gloves and then use them for the first time in the biggest fight of the year.

Even when fully tested, I'm not a fan of GGG or Maidana anyone else having their own 'punchers gloves'. I wouldn't ban them but we've seen disputes involving those 2 in the past and with Brandon Rios, and something in the rules needs to be modified. Both guys having to wear the same make, style of gloves in every fight is something I'd lean towards. Last I checked those gloves aren't allowed in the UK but that might have changed.

Anyway...do you not think Canelo's side should've revealed this at an earlier stage rather than so close to the fight? "Hey guys, I know we're drug cheats who can't be trusted, so we're letting you know now in negotiations we plan to use a different glove rather than waiting until weeks out from the fight where it could be an issue", something like that?
First, you disagreed with a perspective you assumed I had. There was large talk of testing but no answers as to where the testing is supposed to come from.

I believe each side is well within their rights to seek whatever competitive advantage they can get within the rules. Sanchez spoke of fairness. The rules determine what's fair. Alvarez obligation to Golovkin is to comply with the contract and train and fight clean with regulation gloves.

Too bad 'No Boxing No Life' can't take legal action against Sanchez
for making slanderous statements that may result in lost revenue for
                    their fledgling glove business.
The protest wasn't frivolous. The NSAC ruled Canelo can't use the gloves.

How would you or I know that gloves are untested when used by any fighter? Most of the time if we hear anything it's just the brand.

Also, it shouldn't matter whether it's the biggest fight of the year or two prospects fighting. Gloves standards are about safety. That's why there are specifications and rules. Anything that relates to potential competitive advantage should be in the contract.
