This article states that "The Nevada Athletic Commission has
already given the go-ahead for those gloves to be used for
the first time on September 13, at a show that Golden Boy
Promotions will have in Las Vegas".
The gloves had already been approved for use in professional
boxing matches held in Nevada. Golovkin and his team are
just being feminine.

OK in how long a bout??? 4 rounds 6 rounds 10 rounds 12 rounds??? They rejected Canelo's request to use these gloves in the Golovkin fight. If they didn't think there might be a problem they would have given Canelo the OK to use them.

No but I'm positive he would use a glove where the padding might shift or harden under use and cause severe damage to Golovkin. They don't have to split open. Who knows whether the padding in Canelo's gloves is the same as the padding in the gloves to be tested in the September 13 bout. The trainer supplying his fighter with gloves that he made is asking for abuse. Hopefully Golovkin annihilates Canelo and rids boxing of this cancer.

Golovkin was accused of using gloves like that wasn't he. I know that the gloves Maidana used were said to perform like that as well and they were made by a notable brand.

At the level these guys fight, their gloves are custom made. The gloves are approved by the commission and then inspected by the opposition on fight night. I think there's little to no risk that they'd be out of specification. I think, like Sanchez said, the only issue is durability. As Loeffler stated, the commission didn't want the GGG Canelo fight to be the first time that these gloves were worn, so they will be used on the card hosted on the 13th.

For those who watched the video that S7VN posted, Loeffler stated that the commission didn't want the big fight to be the first time the gloves were used. He then says "I THINK they have to go back to [traditional] gloves". The article indicates that the gloves will be used on the 13th. That could be enough to sway the commission to allow the gloves.

If you cant see the difference between sparring and a world championship fight then there really isnt much to say. Its ridiculous that gloves that have not been tested are now going to be used in such a big event.

They have been tested in Mexico & it was okay to wear them in this fight UNTIL abel "excuse" sanchez started complaining cuz he shook....LMMFAO!

It's not like NSAC can be unaware of all the rumor that boxing in Vegas is smeared by corruption but they just dont give a fuq what anyone else thinks.

They use them in fights in Mexico. This is not loaded gloves or no padding. You lil g fans are so scared its getting more comical the closer the fight gets
