And you typed that response and I never said Canelo’s resume was or wasn’t better than GGG’s. I said it has asterisks and can be questioned when you look closely at every single fight on his resume and the circumstances around those fights. Remember Canelo got Cotto after he already lost to Mayweather and Manny and Trout and after he was resurrected by Freddie Roach. That wasn’t a prime Cotto. Why was that win so impressive? And some people thought Cotto did enough to win that fight. And are you saying Trout was a great fighter and a great win. Trout wasn’t on anyone’s P4P list or considered great fighter on anyone’s list when he fought Canelo.
Trout fought a bunch of stiffs and then picked up a vacant WBA Super welterweight belt from some dude named Rigoberto Alvarez. By the time he got to Cotto, he had lost to Margarito, Floyd, and Manny. That’s Trouts best win against a Cotto that got half of his boxing life stolen from him after that brutal savage beating from that cheating Margarito.
And are you saying Canelo’s win over that version of Cotto and Trout are better than GGG’s win over Daniel Jacobs. A young champion in his prime that would have destroyed both of them. Are you saying Trout was a better fighter back then, than what Jacobs is today.
And no one really believes Canelo won that fight against Lara. He got clearly outclassed and out boxed. Lara clearly won that fight and a lot of boxing experts thought Lara got robbed. I brought up the point Canelo made in 24/7 to state that Canelo’s record isn’t all that impressive compared to GGG’s. Somone can argue that it may be better but it’s not that much better. He has questionable wins and fought a bunch of stiffs like GGG. Canelo made it seem like he fought a bunch of great champions in their prime or fought a bunch of undefeated fighters and champions. He fought (1) P4P champion or GREAT champion in his prime, Mayweather, and he lost. And he has a questionable disputed win against Lara. And he beat Cotto and Mosley that were a shell of their former selfs in their prime. And I don’t want to hear he was too young or inexperienced against Floyd. He took that fight and was extremely confident he could win. I saw that 24/7 series too. But he got schooled all night. The only other P4P champion fighter Canelo fought on his resume over his entire career was GGG and that was a draw and some people thought he lost. THESE ARE THE FACTS!Comment

Danny Jocobs was NOT a champion. The WBA regular belt doesn't count
More than half of the media scorecards had canelo winning LOL
You not counting the lara win is like me not counting the jacobs win for GGG

On fight night against Lara, the Official scores were 115-113 and 117-111 for Canelo, and 115-113 for Lara. A split decision win for Canelo. But Showtime's Steve Farhood, scoring the fight at ringside, had it 115-113 for Lara. But that 117-111 score from the (1) judge looks suspect and familiar don’t you think. Looks like the same score Canelo got from a judge in the 1st fight against GGG. Must be the money-LOL!!!Comment

The win against Jacobs wasn’t as controversial as Canelo’s win against Lara. All the judges scored the Jacobs fight pretty fairly and marginally. But the (1) score from the judge in the Lara fight caused the controversy, 117-111 for Canelo. Look familiar? A judge in the 1st GGG/Canelo fight scored it like that for Canelo. But Steve Farwood, scoring the fight at ringside for Showtime had Lara winning 115-113.Comment

Jacobs held the WBA world middleweight belt and successfully defended it against Peter Quillin and Sergio Mora. That belt has been recognized for many years and held in the same esteem as the WBC & IBF belts in every division.
And for the record, GGG’s win was a unanimous decision win against Jacobs. All (3) judges had it for GGG. Canelo’s win was a controversial split decision win over Lara. (1) judge had it at 117-111 for Canelo which clearly worked for Oscar as did the judge who scored it 118-110 for Canelo against GGG-LOL!!!Comment

A fair fight is a fair fight. Nobody can disrespect that.I'm sure you know all the B.S that was going on behind closed doors in regards to Canelo and the lawsuit he had against him by his previous promoter.. How can anyone negotiate a deal when he don't even know who's gonna be his promoter in a couple of month's time?? But you're absolutely right on that. Canelo did **** up by saying that. He shouldn't of said that if he wasn't positive Triple g was next..
But you seem to remember everything that goes on with canelo but you fail to admit your idol Triple g did the same thing...
Didn't he say his goal was to own all the belts??
Well why didn't he fight Sergei Devrechnko in May? Why did he chose to fight Vanes instead??
He knew he was gonna get stripped If he didn't fight Sergei next so why didn't he just get his mandatory out of the way instead of fighting Vanes??
You Triple g fans seem to have selective memory... You guys choose what to believe.
But it's cool. I'm just wondering what kind of excuses you gonna come up with If Canelo clearly beats Triple g in a couple of weeks...
Are you gonna give him his props or are you gonna make excuses and not give Canelo his props??
What say you if GGG wins?Comment
