Promoters know that the die-hards will watch the fight regardless, even if it could end up being a mismatch. What they're banking on is the mainstream public buying into the strive for greatness moment which could help with PPV buys.

Yeah but the public isnt really fooled here. Nobody knows either guy to begin with. Just us hardcore folks. Theres no real money or ppv sells for that fight. Its a **** fight. And really an excuse fight, because nobody expects him beat spence anyway. If loma beats him thoroughly (not sure of spelling haha) then thats the end of the Garcia myth that somehow grew after his last retirement.

Would be good when Loma is ready to step up to Mikey. Loma only talks about fighting Mikey but does nothing about it. Mikey rolled up on him at the ESPN studios and told him to move up and acclimate to the weight, Loma ends up fighting two smaller guys that he brought up in weight instead. After the Linares fight, talks about Mikey, but Arum already had his next opponent lined up since Beltran won the WBO title. Arum should scratch the Pedraza fight and let Loma go after Mikey in December.
