Is this fight still a reality for this year? Looks like we would be getting a lot of fights towards the end of this year. The fan in me wanted to see this fight but thinking outside of the box i wish Mikey wait another 2/3 fights before doing it. Spence is too fresh, big and too hungry at this point.

I and several others demanded Garcia vs Lomachenko next. But Lomachenko says no, he needs more time.

I don't blame Mikey one bit for going after a PPV fight with Spence or even Pacquiao next.

In no way should he sit around waiting for Lomachenko and Arum. Especially since we all know how Arum is about sticking to in-house fights, particularly for 50/50 matchups.

Well look at his last fight with linares. Not in house. Rigo not in house. (Remember rigo kept calling out loma, and before the,fight rigo fans said he woild break lomas face) the in house thing is a myth. I dig the pac vs garcia fight. Garcia vs spence sells 50k ppvs. Ill watch it on youtube haha. Thing is...garcia gonna be "waiting" anyway. So is spence. All the wishful thinking doesnt pay off. Loma tore his shoulder and has a comeback fight. Then a fight in march. I mean at best garcia next fight prolly be february. So its not really waiting around. Everything else is just talk. Theres no fight signed and no date. From what i have heard if there is a fight its firsr quarter of next yr. So the 'waiting for loma' excuse just doesnt add up

Linares nor Rigo are not even close to Mikey when it comes selling tickets. Both those guys agreed to Arums demands, cause even though they might top fighters, they don't bring in money nor do they command big paydays. Neither of those two fighters were backed by a network. As soon as Oscar said he wanted to make the Linares/Loma fight on HBO and HBO would pay more, Arum walked away. Linares had to beg GB to make the fight and to make more than the 250k he was making.

Wow. Ummm...mikey is not a draw. I mean wasnt there 400 k ppl that watched him,and easter? It was close to that. Maybe 500k. Maybe. I believe loma want to and can force bigger fights for himself. I believe all fighters can do the same. Good for linares for making that fight as well. Mikey is delusional and probably prices himself out of fights. We know boxing isnt that big a sport in U.S. ppl watch Canelo and GGG here consistantly. Loma building his brand still. I have heard and seen non boxing programs bring him up and speak of how freakish he is. But still he cant drive up huge prices either. Boxers gotta realize this ****. Fight big fights regularly. No sense in is boxing fans tearing each other down and certain fighters down just because of these silly things. MAKE THE FOOKING FIGHTS! Then we got none of this business to discuss as fans. I lived through the whole may vs pac BS. And now Wilder vs AJ bs. And i hate it. Im,a fan of boxing and i consistantly want fighters to make fights that excites me. Fook anything else. And if folks drop bias bs and demand this from fighters and promotors , no matter who we root for, then it can change. All im saying is no more excuses. Sick of hearing them

The Staples Center was packed for Mikey's last fight against Easter and had more than 10k for his Lipnets fight in San Antonio. Compare that to the 2-3k fans that were at the Forum for Linares last 2 fights, I should know I went to them thanks to GB giving away free tickets. Mikey has been selling 10k plus his last 3 fights but you say he isn't a draw? GB wanted 50/50 to make Linares/Mikey, no way Linares deserved that. Yeah i do think he potentially prices himself out. 10,000 ppl plus 500k ppl doesnt make a big star man. Again...make tge real fights and fook the excuses. Seems like you and i have come to an end. I think Duran had a couple of fights at 147 before he fought Leonard. Credit to Garcia for taking a huge challenge. I'm not sure it's the right move for him, but it's his career.

Yeah he did take two fights. Carlos Palomino was one of them and he was a very good fighter.
