no the biggest hypocrite in boxing is the guy who says that he won't give up his wbc title and then gives it up to avoid the highest money fight available to him for 2 yrs. Also the same guy who denies using peds after testing positive twice. The guy who says someone else "only cares about money" but makes his fans pay to watch him face a chinny lightweight. Canelo isn't wrong. We heard all this "all the belts is my dream" for years when fans wanted him to take at challenge at an higher weight. He then turned down the chance and later got stripped for money. Golovkin is FAKE.

It's business before pleasure with GGG. Nothing wrong with that. Is Canelo fighting for fun with no pay.

I think it’s hypocritical to call out another fighter about money when it was you that had the rematch cancelled due to a banned substance being inside of your body, regardless of how it got there. If that didn’t happen, I can guarantee that most of what has been said, wouldn’t have been said.

It was (and is) a mandatory in every sense. The wrinkle here is that Golovkin could, if he had chosen, have easily derailed it simply by demanding his full champions split which would of course have been refused by GBP. Interpret that how you will.

Incidentally, I'm not trying to pass judgement on the respective morals or character of either fighter merely correcting you on a technical detail.

well he dropped the belt cuz he got stripped...which probably wouldn't have happened if canelo didn't get popped and pull out of the fight.

He had options to keep the belt. He chose the money fight. Simple as that. Heck he could of fought Dervy in May. Buuuuut....

GGG doesn't get a free pass just because Alvarez popped positive and got suspended. Everyone knew the rematch was postponed till September. The steps GGG took in between said that he wod prefer to protect the big money fight at all cost rather than keep the IBF belt.

Canelo by far has more names on his resume but resumes in a whole is always subjective because then you start picking through each's best wins / fights and seeing how either would do against the other's opposition. The problem here though is most of Canelo's best wins are against Welterweights / Jr Middleweights while not having 1 win against a current top 10 Middleweight yet. GGG on the other hand has several of those kind of wins without a blemish. So do we negate GGG's wins because the names aren't popular? Do we give Canelo credit for beating older Hall of Fame names? At this point Canelo's signature win is Miguel Cotto. Does THAT Cotto beat GGG in the last couple of years? Very likely not.

Again, it's subjective but if the outcome of fights relied on resumes then Canelo should've wiped out GGG which CLEARLY did not happen last September.

Cotto KTFO out of one of GGG's best wins. And A guy that Canelo destroyed, Destroyed a guy who beat Lemuix...

This Canelo would beat anyone on GGG's resume not named Jacobs. And I could see Jacobs/Canelo close like his.

Floyd would of beat GGG at 152 and I don't doubt it...
