Comments Thread For: Efe Ajagba's Trainer Says Harper Should Be Banned For Life

So what type of discipline should heavyweight Curtis Harper receive for walking out of the ring right after the bell had sounded to begin his fight with Efe Ajagba? "I think he should be banned from the sport of boxing," said Ronnie Shields, who trains the heavyweight prospect who hails from Nigeria and came into the bout with a record of 5-0 (5 KO's) and was awarded the victory over Harper via disqualification.

No he absolutely SHOULD NOT. As I said in the fight article, Curtis Harper is a martyr, he died for our sins. He is a paragon of perfection, a healer, the man blessed the hearts, eyes and minds of thousands upon thousands of folks who witnessed GREATNESS.

He should not be reprimanded. Instead, Harper should be granted a PPV headline slot against any opponent of his choosing

Dude Harper did not think about the consequences of his action. He does not need a life-ban at all because he has banned himself as no one would like to do business with him anymore. Wilder may though

Tyson didnt even get a lifetime ban for biting Evanders ear off, so any talk of a lifetime ban is ******ed.

6 months to a year would be plenty. He already will lose his purse, and probably have a commission fine on top of that, which will have to be paid off before any suspension is lifted.

But his real penalty is self-inflicted. Any matchmaker or booking agent will stay far far away from him, except maybe for last-minute fallouts.......
