Comments Thread For: Porter: We Don't Know What Thurman Will Look Like in Return

Shawn Porter still wants an opportunity to avenge his close loss to Keith Thurman. The former IBF welterweight champion needs proof, however, that the Thurman he fought in June 2016 still exists. Elbow surgery and a subsequent hand injury have kept Thurman from fighting over the past 17 months and his return still hasn't been scheduled.

I feel like everybody is throwing Keith by the trash even though he has already beaten 2 of the top 6 welterweight in the dividing. If you take away Manny. 2 out of the 5.

Better stop singing deep LONG songs about Thurm (even if I guess the journalist asked him about Thurm) and focus on SWIFT who is no slouch.

Thurman is inactive fighter. No reason to mention him.

Over the years Porter has grown on me. I thought he edged the fight against Thurman, and he is willing to fight the best. He has a great attitude and is well spoken. Looking forward to the fight against DSG. If he takes away the left hook, he may run away with it.

The article stated that Porter “obviously” is focused more on his upcoming fight against Danny Garcia. I seriously doubt it. Porter suggested he was focused but went on a rant about the inactivity of Thurman. Because when your focused and a question comes up about Thurman, you dismiss and say, “I don’t want to talk about Thurman right now. I’m here to answer questions about Garcia.”

Thurman is a memory right now! What a shame! It's never a good thing when Amir Khan and Andre Berto are more relevant @ WW than the WBA Super Champion!

That was an all action fight between the two. Wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Thurman is done. He has no interest in boxing anymore. He may come back but I 8magine if he gets in there with someone good, it won't go well for him and will end up being the last fight of his career. Heart isn't in it.
