If you could change the entire HBO crew, who would be your commentators?

    Let's overhaul the announce crew.

Marcos Villegas replaces Jim Lampley. Radio Raheem replaces Max Kellerman. Andre Ward replaces Roy Jones. A competent person replaces Harold Lederman.

Interviewing the fighters will be Radio Raheem after the nights.

Don't see what a change is going to accomplish if HBO continues to pressure the crew to toe the company line. It will just be a new set of talking heads..

I would replace them with nobody. I was an amateur boxer in the army and have been a huge boxing fan since I was 15 years old. This is not radio. I can see everything that happens in the ring. I don't need three guys telling me what punches landed and how hard those punches were. I don't need the fight explained to me at all. I know what I see. Half the time they are wrong anyway. They think missed or blocked punches landed, light punches were hard etc. I think fight callers are an unneeded annoying distraction. An instant replay of important moments would be OK. Three guys running their mouths 3 minutes of every round telling me what I am seeing stinks in my opinion. The famous fight callers of the distant past hardly spoke at all during the fight. They let you enjoy the fight in peace and quiet.

Foreman was a great fighter and in my opinion a terrible fight caller. Just because a guy was a hell of a fighter does not make him an expert on other boxers and their fights.

I liked Kelley when I heard him before but that was a while back, is he on any of the US channels now?

Honestly, I don't think it should be that hard to be a commentator but some of the guys have been consistently bad for so long. I sense that Jim Lampley is a lot like Alan Partridge when off camera.
