Arum stops fights from happening when he won't allow his top fighters on another network. He expects every top fighter that wants to fight his top fighters to allow him to dictate everything promotional wise and fight on his network. He works with other promoters when it suits him, and agree to his terms. Lower tier fighters will accept Arums demands but when you get to top fighters like M. Garcia, Spence, Thurman etc. who are being backed by a network it gets tougher. He expects them to fight on ESPN and will never allow his top fighters to fight off ESPN. Loma/Linares almost fell apart, Linares is no draw so he pretty much begged GB to allow him to take the fight on ESPN after Arum wouldn't allow it to be on HBO even though HBO was offering more money.

This is true which is why I think Bud is going to have a difficult time landing fights. In a perfect world if Danny beats Porter and Bud beats Benavidez THAT would be the next fight for 147 Unification and there's a storyline with Bud and Danny. But of course, that's not going to happen but we also can't put all the blame on Bob either. Danny would want a lot of money to fight Bud which he "might" get fighting Spence anyway.

Anyone remember Hagler v Leonard? He stalled Walters/Loma for a about a year. Gamboa/Lopez. Floyd/ODH.

Mayweather vs Oscar while Mayweather was still with Top Rank which was one of the reasons why Mayweather bought himself out of his contract and then Arum did the entire "Carrot on the Stick" and tried to throw Margarito to him for more money to get him to stay with Top Rank. Then this started the entire "He Ducked Margarito" because Mayweather bought himself out to go make the biggest fight in Boxing History at the time

Paul Williams vs Kelly Pavlik...TWICE! This is just off the top of my head

OH and also Arum was in the middle of Hagler vs Hearns being Canceled the 1st time they was originally suppose to fight. Not sure if I can blame him for it but he was the promoter for it

I can really keep going honestly
