Mu understanding is that different states allow you to wrap your hands different ways. What's allowed in Vegas might not be allowed in California. There was a video with Robert Garcia talking about this. He was talking about he wraps his fighters hands a certain way depending where they're fighting and how some trainer had a problem one time but he was well within the states rules and the trainer didn't know. I'm assuming Abel didn't know the Nevada rules to wrapping a fighters hands since GGG has never fought in Vegas before and doubt any of other fighters have in awhile.

Correct. Hopkins did the same thing to Tito when they fought in NY. Tito wrapped it like he does when he is in Vegas but Hopkins trainer knew it was different in NY so they made him rewrap his hands.

Abel is wrapping GGGs hands according to California regulations. GGG has never fought in Vegas so able isn't aware that he can wrap his hands according to Nevada regulations. Both states allow different gauze and tape. Nevada allows a different gauze that looks thicker I believe
