You're right. AJ does likely make 4-5x what Wilder makes. Even though Wilder's publicly listed purses are bogus, even if Wilder is making 4-5 million per fight AJ is probably making around 20 million for Povetkin.

But the huge huge money comes from big US PPVs and big US PPVs are few are far between. It takes the right pair. The right dynamic. And with Wilder becoming a bigger and bigger star in the US, while AJ struggles in the US (and due to now being on DAZN, he'll be out of sight, out of mind), if Wilder can prove his PPV worth vs. Fury, he'll have a legitimate argument for 45-50% of the pot against AJ.

If Wilder beats Fury & does decent PPV numbers: Make the Joshua fight, collect all the revenue and split it 60/40 for Joshua.

This is the best and biggest scenario for him, this put him and his resume in the ball park of demands. Pre-Fury i didn't think he deserves what he thought he wanted. Beat Fury and then you have a better leg to stand on with the PPV that you would generate.
