The difference there though is Mayweather, Pacquaio and McGregor are 3 of the highest sellers of PPV of all time.

Neither Wilder or Fury have a PPV sale to their name.

So this one will be a way harder job.

No, that was basically Mike's last fight (he had 3 matches after that, all on Showtime, he never even main evented again after the Lennox fight) and once the klitschko's took control and the rest of the division dried up, people cared less over here. (Wlad's new style was great for his chin and his record, but awful for the sport)

Many of the people picking low #'s are the same ones who were skeptical about it happening. This fight does 500K plus. The Wilder-Fury announcement was the lead-in on SportsCenter. The build-up is going to be huge.

So you think Americans will just buy the fight for $60ish because they see two 6ft guys screaming at eachother.

Both of them are lame when it comes to trash talking, Mayweather and Mcgregor are kings at it.

Wilder and Fury are both no-bodies, a couple of weeks of promotion wont change that. This has Ward-Kovalev PPV Numbers written all over it

Troll thread. Wilder is Showtime's biggest star. He's not unknown. He was the lead story on ESPN Sportscenter on Saturday night. He stars on a major reality show. He has a million followers on instagram.

He's drawn Showtime's biggest ratings. He drew the second largest boxing crowd in Barclays history. He may be unknown to people who don't know anything about boxing, but if you follow boxing at all, you know who Deontay Wilder is. Showtime is the #1 boxing network in the US and Wilder has been their #1 draw for many years.

That dosent translate into solid PPV Numbers does it doofus ?

You need non-boxing fans to be behind this event. 1M insta followers ? WOW, that dosent mean 1M People are going to buy the fight.

Fury is also a no-body here, it will need some hectic promotion here. CBS, ESPN etc
