Not ready, plenty of excuses. Nice try though.

Ortiz hits harder than Parker, but Parker is more dangerous than Ortiz because he is more durable, has way more stamina, and doesn't sit down and quit when the going gets tough.
Kevin Johnson destroyed Pianeta, who just went the distance with Fury. Does that mean Johnson is better than Fury?
If so, how come Fury schooled a much better version of Johnson than the one who destroyed Pianeta?Last edited by kafkod; 08-27-2018, 04:51 PM.Comment

better and more dangerous are two different things. you can manipulate refs, you can manipulate judges, you can manipulate a lot of things, but if your fighter gets knocked out cold, there's nothing you can do about it. which is why you keep your valuable fighters away from punchers whenever possible.
if hearn really believed parker was more dangerous than ortiz, he would have made the ortiz fight.Comment

You trying to use logic against a troll, it won't work I'm afraid.Ortiz hits harder than Parker, but Parker is more dangerous than Ortiz because he is more durable, has way more stamina, and doesn't sit down and quit when the going gets tough.

Hearn and Whyte had no problem fighting Ortiz, but they weren't about to jeopardize the O2 date by risking a purse-bid. Ortiz should have taken the money if he means what he says.
Parker has a lot more in the tank than Ortiz. At least he's fresh, has a much better resume, and doesn't gas after 2 rounds. Plus he was higher ranked than Ortiz. And we both know how you feel about higher ranked guys don't we?Comment

Then bid what the fight is worth. And if you lose, that means the O2 date isn't worth keeping because the fight is worth more elsewhere.
When you fight Parker with nothing at stake, instead of Ortiz with a guaranteed title shot at stake, it's pretty clear who you consider the safer fight.
If Ortiz and Parker signed to fight next, there's no doubt Ortiz would be the betting favorite. Very few experts would consider Parker the more dangerous opponent.Comment

You don't hire venues out and make arrangements only to risk it on a purse-bid. Don't be so ******. Hearn had a PPV fight lined up in London with Whyte in mind. You don't cancel the venue and let a PPV go down the toilet. Then bid what the fight is worth. And if you lose, that means the O2 date isn't worth keeping because the fight is worth more elsewhere.

But Whyte wasn't guaranteed a shot at Wilder had he beat Ortiz. He would have been the second mandatory. Brezeale has been the mandatory for some time, but do you see him getting a fight with Wilder any time soon? No you don't. Whyte would have to wait much longer. It could be 2 years before he gets a shot.
Who cares if the overrated Ortiz would be the favourite? My money would go straight on Parker due to being the much fresher of the 2.Comment

If the PPV is so lucrative, then you should be able to bid enough to win. If somebody bids even more, that means you're making more than you would have with PPV, so what's the problem?
Yes, he was guaranteed a shot if he won. Not the next shot, but a guaranteed shot. Whereas beating Parker gained him nothing at all.But Whyte wasn't guaranteed a shot at Wilder had he beat Ortiz. He would have been the second mandatory.Comment
