You don't know how to post links?? Surely you're not that inept?? It's very simple - you copy the URL from the address bar and paste it into your boxingscene post. You can google it if that sounds too tricky.Ortiz and his team wanted a purse bid with Whyte but Hearn refused in case Haymon won the bid and moved the fight to the states when he had already booked a date for the O2 in London. So Ortiz walked. His manager also said he wouldn't be ready for that date either.
If you want a source, look at Google. I don't know how to put links up.Comment

Ortiz refused to fight unless it went to a purse-bid. So no, Whyte did not duck the fight.Comment

Agreeing to a purse bid means you want the fight. Refusing a purse bid means you don't want the fight. You're living in a bizzaro universe if you think the guy that pulled out of the fight isn't the one that ducked the fight . . .Comment

Desperate for another easy payday.According to WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, there should be no excuses from either side in the upcoming fall showdown with Tyson Fury (27-0, 19 KOs). For Fury, this past Saturday night in Belfast was only his second fight since November of 2015, when he shocked the world by defeating Wladimir Klitschko.

Confident of getting the fight from the WBC is that a joke how lond have they been trying to get Wilder to fight Whyte - Your full of rubbish.Whyte went on record saying it was unfair that he had to fight a final eliminator with Ortiz, he would have been guaranteed a shot at Wilder if he won, but he still didn’t want to face Ortiz. It was nothing to do with not getting the title shot - the winner would have got it. If he was confident of winning he would have took the fight.
If Ortiz turned down the Parker date, how soon before the fight was he offered it? I never heard about that. Was he given sample prep time? If he had a fight scheduled against a bum, that’s understandable for a come back fight after a stoppage loss, it’s standard practice in boxing, especially for heavyweights.Comment

I doubt Fury - Wilder will happen this year, for all the reasons that have previously been detailed. Say what you want about Hearn but he was right. Fury has got people talking about him again and Wilder has got his three or four fans excited about the possibility of him having a big fight. Mission accomplished for both men. Fury will fight Chisora next and Wilder will probably fight Breazeale.Comment

Whyte pulled out because he was told it would have been a special, corrupt WBC type final eliminater in which the winner wouldn't get to fight the champion next. Dominic Breazeale would.Comment
