"He threw approx (THREW) 80 punches over the course of a 12 round championship bout. This isn’t rumor or conjecture it’s fact. He was certainly a flat footed slow moving sloth who produced the fewest punches ever thrown in a 12 round championship bout." This is sad but true. Essentially, Fury conned Wlad into playing Patty Cake, and by the time Wlad realized what was happening, there wasn't but a round or two left of the fight. In winning that World Heavyweight Championship bout, Fury literally played with Wlad.

Def would be nuts to slug it out with Wilder. That would be over quick. But he's also mentally unstable enough to do it. Would be a fun watch while it lasted.

Great, a fight to decide who gets to be a place mat, holding the belt until the winner of the (actually significant) fight between (two actually world class heavyweights) Povetkin and Joshua comes to take it.
A lot of people saying this is a good, smart fight for Wilder, but I disagree. His ability to negotiate the superfight is currently based on the mystique of a fighter who has a great KO record and a world heavyweight belt... PPV would be absolutely mega because there would be an element of doubt Joshua would win.
But boxing fans know his record, have watched him box, and know his true ability. Wilder will now fight Fury, and what boxing fans alone know, the world will know. When Wilder really struggles against a defensive pugilist like Fury, fewer people are going to be interested in tuning in for another AJ arsewhooping.Comment

I grow weary of supposed “boxing fans” calling his punches windmills. Does he throw them? Sure. HOWEVER he throws them with extreme effectiveness AFTER he has already clipped his opponent and has him hurt. THEN and ONLY then does he throw the haymakers. Fury is not faster than Wilder so it’ll be easy to land a set up shot that hurts Fury (who doesn’t have the strongest of chins) followed up with finishing blows
“Extreme effectiveness.”
He gets the fight stopped but his accuracy is woeful when he moves into windmill mode.Comment

I wouldn’t say easily. Wilder still as basically a novice ameteur got bronze... his jab is damn good so I think this may end up a jabbing contest for the first few rounds. I think it’s a close fight but fury will most certainly get landed on and he will have to overcome that. Wilders boxing abilities are growing fight after fight.Comment

His 2 comeback fights against walking bags doesn't mean that much. Those 2 guys can't crack sht.
We don't even know if he's ready to beat guys on a D.Whyte, Parker level.
Dude is taking selfies with his opponents, that's a circus, he's cashing out with Warren's help.
If he wasn't cashing out, then he wouldn't be fighting Wilder right next after Pianeta.Comment
