Tank beats Mares something vicious. Mares too small.

This is a bad match up but I'm not surprised. Gervonta's last fight was also against a smaller guy coming off a loss and moving up in weight.

Potentially great fight my ass. Mares's best days were at Super Bantamweight 5 years ago. Nobody was asking for this fight.

Not the fight I wanted to see next. Machado was what I was hoping for. Farmer would've been ok only because it was a unification. otherwise, no need to fight guys that are the same level or lesser than your last opponent, especially coming off a loss at a lower weight.

Too many posters get caught in their hate when it comes to Tank but this dude is solid and hits hard. this is a TERRIBLE fight for Mares at this stage of is career. This could be a vicious KO loss .

Yeah, he deserves criticism for fighting two smaller dudes coming up in weight after losses back-to-back.

Mares really was never an effective Featherweight and is about 4-5 years past his best.

I bet you didn't complain when loma fought a featherweight and a super bantamweight in back to back fights last year

              hahahaha

Good point. Leo gives Davis a difficult fight cause of the volume punches. A toss up fight for me it's either leo wins by decision or Davis by knockout. Mares gets beat

Rigo wasn't coming off a loss and the LDBC and Rigotards demanded that fight. He was p4p ranked at the very least.

I wasn't happy with Marriaga though. It was a last minute scramble for an opponent after Salido said yes then said no.

Davis-Farmer should have been easy to make. I'll ask you this though. You are happy with Davis fighting Cuellar and then Mares but were you unhappy with those Loma fights? Do you have a bias?

Farmer just fought 1 or 2 weeks ago so in no way would he be ready to fight Davis in October.

That will be the next fight though. Early next year an all american unification fight

Machado? Berchelt? Santa Cruz? Russell? Why not try any of those? Why not just try and fight Farmer in November?

Are you happy with two washed up fighters coming off clear-cut losses moving up in weight as opponents? I don't think you'd be like this if the fighter was from a different country.
