Fury's claim to the title is based on winning the lineal title almost 3 years ago. The lineal title is a mythical title made up by boxing fans with little value in the real world. What ever value it did have Fury lost by never defending it. No title last forever without defending it. Fury is just a contender now and not a champion of any kind. His old lineal title and a couple of dollars will buy him a beer. If Fury fights Wilder the only champion in the ring is Wilder and the only world title at stake is Wilder's WBC heavyweight world title. The winner must still defeat the AJ vs Povetkin winner before they can truthfully claim to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
I think that undisputed you mentioned to be made after they all fight could also call himself lineal.

I am just wondering his people are PRAISING AJ for fighting Pov yet say Wilder is a ducker even though he signed to fight Pov FIRST....

      IN RUSSIA NO LESS!!!!

Somehow Wilder is criticisized because Pov FAILED HIS DRUG TEST......

      TWICE!!!!

Everyone just skips over this fact.

Wilder wanted to fight Pov. He failed a drug test. He then signed to fight Ortiz. He failed a drug test.

You say he hasn't fought anyone like he was the ONE FAILING THE TESTS!!!

      Strange!!!

Povetkin looked average his last 3 fights which is why they were very eager to set this fight up

Anthony Johnson handlers have very little faith in their guy the must not like what they're seeing in sparring

Incredible how much damage Joshua's image has taken compared to a year ago. I'm not saying that out of any loyalty to anyone. Just an observation.

Warren doesn't need to tell us, we already know who the world HW is.
            Others can fight eliminators.

Wilder aiming to become the first American lineal heavyweight champion since Hasim Rahman 17 years ago. The longest drought in American heavyweight history.

but joshua keeps ducking, wilder and fury look to be fighting and we all know joshua only got any belt once once was nicked off fury and woulda had to fight fury for any others not belonging to wilder, had fury not given them up. so... bit more complicated than you make out.
you funny scumbag... You sound like the belts were retrieved from fury and given to AJ in his bed room.
The brother fought for every single belt you nimwit.

do you know the difference? Only one was a former champ. That makes the difference.

You must think we're fools, Mr Warren. Don't insult us just to hype your B-grade show.

How many times does it have to be pointed out?

Firstly AJ indubitably has the better resume. As mentioned, he holds four of the five belts, one of which he took off Joe Parker.

He knocked out Wlad, whereas Fury only gave us a grab and hold festival.

Wilder has hardly a resume worth mentioning.

Caveat: The IBO is fast becoming the only sanctioning body with any solid ethics.
