If its Wilder then beating a guy that's not fought a top ten fighter in 3 years? If Fury wins then he's beaten the number 2 fighter in the world, but Joshua will still be number one and hold 3 times as many belts.

    Warren's talking rubbish.
This you have to Honor. Aj Is not fighting bums. Ortiz and POV are on par. Both great Fights

Nobody can truthfully state they are the best heavyweight in the world and the true champion until they beat Aj, the champion with most of the belts. AJ can't claim to be the undisputed champion until he wins the WBC title belt in the ring. Nobody has to beat Fury to be the undisputed heavyweight champion. Fury's claim to the title is based on winning the lineal title almost 3 years ago. The lineal title is a mythical title made up by boxing fans with little value in the real world. What ever value it did have Fury lost by never defending it. No title last forever without defending it. Fury is just a contender now and not a champion of any kind. His old lineal title and a couple of dollars will buy him a beer. If Fury fights Wilder the only champion in the ring is Wilder and the only world title at stake is Wilder's WBC heavyweight world title. The winner must still defeat the AJ vs Povetkin winner before they can truthfully claim to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

IMHO, BoxRec has the most screwed up rankings I've ever seen, and that's based on years and years of viewing. We all have opinions, and I can respect that; however, BoxRec's rankings just don't make sense, and Jeff Horn's ranking before his loss to Terence Crawford is exhibit number one.

No, the winner of this fight vs. the winner of Joshua-Povetkin and whoever wins that fight is the best Heavyweight in the world.

            Keep dreaming

The man who holds every belt apart from the wbc due to the champ of wbc being afraid is the number 1 fighter for sure

That A side excuse disappears for sure. 3 paper belts (that belong to the lineal) vs 1 belt lineal never won + lineal. AJ dwindles by the day, he's going to wish he took that 50 mil.

To be honest you can pick virtually any of the rankings:

and get a similar result. The point being that Joshua is fighting someone almost universally held to be one of the best in the division.

Fair enough how about Takam,Whyte, Parker and Klitscho compared to Ortiz, Stiverne, Washington and Eric Molina?

Fury is irrelevant until he wins some belt.
