He’s not great but he’s awkward as hell . His size speed and reach is freak s**t
Wilder gets outboxed by polish football hools . Fury will box rings around him if his stamina is up to scratchComment

Ortiz lit up & stopped Allen in 7, Whyte took that same fighter to a boring 12 round decision. You got to give Wilder Ortiz he was top ten when Wilder albeit he didn't look good at all when he fought in Europe and he is definitely improving in the guys he was taking stick for a possible Brezeale but even that would actually be a step up against almost all his current record.
If you look at boxrec Wilders first twenty odd fights are all nameless junk (anyone want to disagree please do), which is about the same number that AJ started unifying at. Parker Whyte etc all look much much better.
Can't blame Ortiz for Scott throwing just 13 punches per round, he did knock him down around 6x in a shut out. Compare that to Chisora who was getting out boxed by Scott (Scott threw 39 punches per round), losing on all 3 cards prior to a premature 6th round stoppage.
Whyte also looked very poor vs Chisora in a razor thin decision.
Parker arguably lost to Ruiz & Fury (ranked behind Stiverne) too as well as going 12 in an incredibly boring fight vs Cojanu whom Ortiz took out in 2.
Brezeale isn't much better than Duhaupas if at all, they're both big punching bags. Brezeale arguably drew against journeyman Fred Kassi 1 year before fighting AJ.
Stiverne (former top 10 ranked ahead of Fury, Chisora and Ruiz) would arguably beat all those guys including Parker & Whyte. Wilder completely shut him out.
Regarding their resumes, AJ had a 5 year amateur career as a super heavy. Wilder's amateur career was 2 years as a heavy (200lbs or 91kg), it took him years to fill his body out & get better.Last edited by Cutthroat; 08-15-2018, 11:13 AM.Comment

This rhetoric is so incredibly ******ed. Was the Ortiz that stunk the place out vs Malik Scott also better than Klitschko?

This guy could KO Malik Scott, let alone Dave Allen.Comment

Yeah he did stink the joint out against Povetkin, WBA heavyweight champ and Olympic gold medalist and consensus second best heavyweight at the time.
Not some unranked sparring partner who was knocked out by Chisora years ago and Dave Allen who's not even british level.
No comparison at all. Saying Ortiz is better technically or better at anything than Klitschko is just absolutely delusional.
Klitschko is light years ahead of Ortiz which was proven both in the amateurs and in the pros where Klitschko time after time beat the best guys in the world and Ortiz was feasting on journeyman for his whole career .Comment

Of course you have your opinion and I respect that. For me to rank Ortiz above Wlad I'd need to see some victories against elite opposition, or maybe some achievements that could at least put him in the same ballpark:
But it's just not there. Ortiz looked good against second rate opposition but since he tested positive he's not been as impressive and when he stepped up against wilder he didn't look capable of staying the course after 6 rounds or so. IComment
