I don't think he will. Wilder seems mentally tough and genuinely believes in everything he says. When someone has that mentality it's hard to get in their head... Only people with self doubt are easy to manipulate mentally.

I so wish Fury was for real. Boxing needs him. Wilder plays the heel, Joshua the Face. Tyson Fury is the nut case who KNOWS he is a nut case and owns it. He is magnetic, opinionated, Anti-PC personified. He is gold when it comes to making headlines and steering the conversation. He can tick off half the population and make the other half laugh so hard they spew beer out their nostrils with the same comment.

But he is living off of one legit win. He is years away from it. His plan for a one payday and done comeback is coming true so long as he handles whoever this scrub is Saturday. Wilder is making a fine decision. He gets a nice payday and will play target practice until Fury collapses. But a Wilder/Fury fight is just a payday for them both.

But then I read this article, and all I can thing is "Wouldn't it be great for boxing if I was 100% wrong?"

Boxing needs it's nutcases. It really could use a Tyson Fury.
