What a joke. Trying to decide which nobody gets a shot at a phony, meaningless belt. When is Murata going to start fighting some live bodies? I would say Quigley is a bigger bum than Brant if I had to choose.

Sounds like the Ramirez vs Prograis all over again

Let me guess Arum will give Rob Brant a fight on ESPN/ESPN+

WBA is a JOKE so they're not going to go against Arum, like the WBC with Ramirez they will bow down and let Arum do things HIS WAY that is why Bob is still the best Promoter in boxing...POWER!

bobs been trying to break into the Asian market for years, no way he throws Murata a hardball. See Zhou Shiming for example

                http://www.wbaboxing.com/wp-content/...ia-6-11-15.pdf

Murata's title, although a BS one, warrants him to 75% of the purse. The bid is only split 50-50 if the title is vacant or if it's a title eliminator. This situation is just another turd crapped out by the WBA, which should be considered even lower than the IBO at this point.
It says they made that stipulation because Murata was ranked behind Brant but got to jump him in the ranking and fought for whicever title this is. Honestly, Murata should be refusing to fight both guys.

We should all be screaming for Charlo vs Murata RIGHT NOW!
Nobody else that is available beats that fight.
No matter what order we have them in, Im confident that 95% of us has the same top 8 @ 160.

It was part of an agreement between all parties that Murata could skip Brant in the ratings if Brant would get a 50/50 split in the first defense.

                    Well...

"On March 23, Golden Boy had its first televised card on ESPN following their multi-year deal with the network. The main event featured Quigley taking on*Glen Tapia, in what was Quigley's first time ever headlining a nationally televised boxing card. Quigley rocked Tapia badly with a right hand to the chin in the first round, and again with a right hand to the body in the second, but at some point in the second round, Quigley broke his right hand on a shot to the top of Tapia's head, which resulted in a torn tendon.[32][33]From this point forward, Quigley could not be as effective with his right hand punches, and it became a fight of attrition. Quigley went back to boxing on the back foot and his superior technical skills earned him another wide unanimous decision"
