MartineZ doesnt strike me as a dumb guy. I doubt he needs the money. If anything, there is more chance of Maidana going broke with all the tacky clothes he buys.

After changing all those dollars to pacels, Martinez should be living like a fkin warlord in Argentina.

I think he just has the itch to fight.

Looks like he's putting in his best show there. Looks desperate to me, but hey let him try and get a payday. I'm sure he's burned through a lot of that money.

He looks good training for a few minutes but he is 43 years old. Can he still go 12 hard rounds? What weight class will he be fighting in?

That's what I'm wondering! Huge spread in weight from Chavez to Pac & FMJ. Don't know what he'd prove to himself against JCJr though, or who'd buy it north of the border. The other two would be huge size difference, more of a spectacle. Gotta be about the money but not even bringing up Canelo surprises me.

“It is OK that Julio Cesar Chavez wants to fight me again as I would only come back to face him or another big name of my generation like Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao,” Martinez, who turns 44 in February, told World Boxing News.

              The Legend, the Master!

There was no one like Sergio Martinez!

If you come back, come back healthy champ.

And yeah, my guess is that if he comes back, it is more of a "prove it to himself" sort of fight after losing as he did vs Cotto.

How much head blows/ring damage did he get during his career?
If his reflexes are intact and knees in good shape, why not try a comeback. Start with easy opponents.

I was always a big fan but not only do I think this is a foolish idea, I'm still bothered that he took that bullshyt Cotto fight when he could barely walk. What a cash grab. Surprisingly cheap move from a guy known for having a lot of heart.

The kind of injuries he has don't ever leave you. Hope he reconsiders.

He's bankrupt and owes millions. He needs the money. Sad.
