Floyd is the best stat wise. He has the highest split accuracy/percentage landed on.
Perfect record, beat the most champions.
Its funny how losses dont matter. Ray Leonard has had more signature wins than Floyd but he was brutalized by Terry Norris, Hector Camacho, got a gift vs Hearns in the rematch after 2 Knockdowns and got worked by Duran a smaller man in the first fight.
Losses count. Wins count. Level of performance count.Comment

Having 19 loses is not really so bad if you've had over 200 fights. He had 174 wins/108 knockouts...nobody's stats come close. His style was the prototype for Mohamed Ali who idolized him. He is the all-time greatest in my books.Comment

Guess it depends on your definition. Joe Louis has 25 consecutive defenses over 12 years while Ali was undisputed HW champ on 3 separate occasions.
Julio César Chávez - holds records for most successful consecutive defenses of world titles (27), most title fights (37), most title-fight victories (31) and he is after Joe Louis (with 23) for most title defenses won by knockout (21). Chávez also has the longest undefeated streak in boxing history, 13 years.
I believe Wilde went 103 fights between losses while SRR had 91. Wickwar has 339 wins in his career while Archie Moore who fought both Ali & Marciano had 131 KO's!
Carlos Zarate - Won his first 23 fights by stoppage. After recording a decision victory, he knocked out his next 28 opponents. During his second streak, he collected the WBC bantamweight title and also knocked out Alfonso Zamora, who was himself in the middle of a 20-plus KO streak. Zarate's streak ended in appropriate fashion, against fellow knockout artist Wilfredo Gomez, when Zarate went up to super bantamweight to challenge for the belt. Between the two of them, Gomez and Zarate entered the fight with a combined record of 73-0-1 with 72 KOs.
My Vote:
Hurricane Hank Armstrong - did what no other fighter had ever done or will ever do again. For a brief period of time in 1938, Armstrong reigned as the undisputed world champion at featherweight, lightweight and welterweight, all at the same time. In an era when there was only one world champ per division, Armstrong was the unquestioned king from 126 to 147 pounds. To put that into context, in today's era of alphabet soup titles and half weight classes, there are up to 20 "world champions" at any time, covering the same weight span.
Incredibly, in 1940 Armstrong battled to a disputed draw with middleweight champion Cerefino Garcia. A win would have made him a world champion in four divisions during an era when there were only eight.Last edited by S7V7N; 08-12-2018, 09:43 PM.Comment

Do you think Robinson went in to those 19 fights to win or lose? Losses should not be dismissed so easily. The intent is to win every matchComment
