can you only outbox someone by retreating and sitting on the ropes?

Of course a boxer can be a vicious attacking fighter and be an extremely skilled boxer at the same time.Sugar Ray Robinson, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Leonard, Pacquiao, Marquez and many others were hard attackers and skilled boxers as well. Today we have guys like Crawford, Spence, Loma, GGG, Canelo, Jermall, Jacobs and others who are attackers in most of their fights but have plenty of boxing skill to go with their attack.

James Toney did that many times but you actually need to throw punches, fighters like Clenelo or Hughie Fury just run from the fight and do nothing. Running is not fighting, fighting is fighting.

The goal is to win and only to WIN just like any other sport, a lot of fighters lost because they tried to entertain and after they lost the same fans they tried to entertain called them bums. If you're long, rangy with good reflexes you should use that, if you're short, stocky with a good chin you should use that.

Cant you stand your ground and fight and outbox the other fighter that way?
I dont see lomachenko running to the ropes all fight but he still manages to show off his skills without it turning into some bar room brawl. Thats a true elite skillset, not someone with an imitation of being a 'master boxer'.
Quit congratulating fighters for not engaging.
File this under-posted so he can use it to whine if ggg loses to Canelo or any non American Eastern European or Russian boxer loses to a a non white boxer from North America.

why do you act like Canelo wasnt hitting GGG?

Yes you can obviously, but considering you're clearly referring to the canelo v golovkin fight, i dont see the point? considering everyone bar a few race baiters claim it was actually a draw/ canelo win....why bother to make this thread? does it really bother you what spastics like larry and the other race baiters on here think???

Lomachenko can outbox you coming forward. That's why he's fun to watch. Who wants to see a guy moving backward all night landing here and there while getting his head jabbed off in the process.
