First of, your interpretation of ring generalship is totally wrong. Secondly, movement isn’t the byproduct of not being able to handle your opponent’s strength. Lara moves his entire with Canelo. And in IMO he beat Canelo pretty handily. In turn, Hurd was able to breakdown Lara over the fights and forced him to stand his ground and fight him off. Crawford moved his entire fight against Postol, and floored him multiple times do so.
Also, you can’t say Canelo’s movement was the product of GGG “pushing him back.” Canelo moved from the opening bell. And the vast majority of GGG’s success came when Canelo would back himself into the ropes due to fatigue. And the fact that Canelo appeared winded very early in the fight tells me that GGG was leery of something. Because I remember thinking in the middle rounds that there was no way Canelo was gonna be able make it to the final bell if GGG steps on the gas and ups the pressure, which he never did.
