I'm not a defender of 3G but Canelo deserves all he gets until he produces something special in the ring. This is the worst middleweight era in my lifetime of watching boxing, 1980 - now. His resume is almost meaningless compared to the old middleweight greats. That's why I admired Ward - for stepping up to LHW when he'd done it all at 168.

Jermall is actually the one who could be the man. He looks solid in every department. But I'm pretty much bored of GGG now, I mean we get a couple of so-so fights a year and that's about it these days for him. Gimme McClellan/Jackson, Hagler/Hearns anyday. Or Benn vs Eubank. GGG still hasn't been in a proper war, or even close.
Talkin about the old days, La Motta and Ray Robinson fought 6 times. Getting one superfight made these days takes years of hustling i.e Pac vs Floyd. It's not what it used to be
