Boxing fans in general are pretty ******. It’s the worst fan base in sports. I mean what other sports fan base actively celebrates poor ratings, low attendances and such things?

A lot of boxing fans don’t pay to see live fights and then celebrate when a good show does poorly.

I remember hearing stories from older boxing fans about many sorts of lame excuses that casual American boxing fans came up with regarding why Rid**** Bowe got his ass kicked by Lennox Lewis in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and why Bowe flat out ducked him later on when they both became pro.

When American fans became insecure about American fighters not totally dominating the sport. Same thing with the eastern euros.

Nationalism.. patriotism ..taking pride in your country is fine.

Making disparaging remarks about the UK or someone based purely on the fact they were born there is xenophobia.

This forum borders on xenophobia ALOT .. from both sides

It is no US vs UK Rivalry, Rivals are actually COMPETITIVE! When it comes to US vs UK is not on a level playing field in fact NOBODY vs the US is a damn level playing field when talking about the HISTORY of this sport and that hurts some of you so bad that you just hate all American Fighters. It is America and then The REST when it comes to BOXING HISTORY! Europe Created boxing and the Americans Mastered It. Yeah I know it hurts for some people but it is FACTS.

When the very best from the US fights the very best from the UK MOST of the time it is a damn SLAUGHTER in the ring

The reason why Americans are speaking up more is because of the disrespect towards us from UK GUYS as well as the "FAKE" WANNABE Eastern Europeans who think some how they have taken over boxing because they finally have some talented boxers

Some of you guys need to be reminded sometimes, I know PRIDE gets the best of people and it make some people say very ****** things!

This is definitely patriotism tied in with a little ignorance. Explains a lot to be honest so no point trying to be sensible with you

The Respond I wanted to PROVE MY POINT! You see the double standard here. Americans being Prideful and Rallying behind Americans Fighters is considered "ARROGANT" but when other Rally behind their own that is considered "Countrymen Pride"

So Americans can't be Prideful Basically because it is Unfair for us to be I guess

While other people can will Take an entire region of the world and try to match them up against America and use them as the face of their Anti American Agenda.
