When did boxing become US V UK?

Seems like after the Floyd v pac argument current groups going at it is Americans v the brits when did this happen? I remember everyone pretty much unanimously agreeing that Wilder was awful, Joshua was a big stiff idiot with some potential and the fact that boxing is the second biggest sport in the UK which is a pretty big market was a good thing. When did it become about patriotism? Why are American fans even acting like they care about the sport it’s dying a death over here. Isn’t it better if Hearn comes over and brings some success? I saw nothing but hatred for Haymon last year now Hearn is the new villain?

The whole things an entire contradiction aswell. Most the ones throwing **** at Hearn and Joshua, praised Haymon and Mayweather for doing the exact same thing

Hearn is a rat and a lier.
No-one likes someone trying to pull shady crap over them.
I understand all promoters cant tell the truth 100%of the time but Hearn takes it to another level especially with the dealings with Wilder.
Every sane person knows that Hearn didnt want this fight this year but he tried to make it look as though AJ was prepared to fight this year when he knew that was never going to happen
He should have just been up front about the whole situation.

It didn't. UK boxing isn't competitive with US boxing.

The sport has been growing faster than it has in nearly 20 years. Where have you been?
