Difference is, Curry and McCallum were exciting boxer punchers who put on exciting performances..

Floyd isnt the kind of fighter who is memorable. Sure boxing fans will watch his fights twenty years later and admire his skills but i doubt many people will actually appreciate him.

I appreciate Floyd even now. He is obviously a great boxer but dude is really forgettable.

I would have done just like he did with Maidana. With Maidana, Kenny Bayless actually said that he had previous fights on the back of his mind. With that in mind, he was ready to pull the trigger and deduct points from Maidana.


Floyd elbowed Maidana several times even after warnings. Then Maidana gets a point deduction.



Floyd should have been warned the dressing room that this was supposed to be "Fight of the Century" not "Dance of the Century".


Any funny stuff, he gets a heavy warning that he will deduct points.


That would have changed Floyd's attitude that he can do whatever he wants and we would have got to see a good fight. Win or lose.

Manny should have realized after round 1 that he had to do something different because no ref and no judge was going to make him win a close fight. Not in VEGAS with VEGAS ref and judges.

The issue that I had with that fight is, Maidana never stood a chance in VEGAS. the VEGAS judges didn't give Maidana the credit he deserved.

Maidana could have done what he did in the first 6 again in the 2nd and he still would have lost!!!! WTF!!!
