What does that have to do with what you said and I specifically quoted you on? You said they only made the Canelo fight after they tried everyone else. Basically they had no option. No that is not the case. The Canelo fight was always the fight. It never stopped being the fight they wanted.

No I didn't. I said they tried to fight anyone but Derevyanchenko referring to the scramble for an opponent for May 5. At the least people will argue that Sergei wasn't the ideal opponent for May 5 but they didn't have to hold onto the date. They held onto the date at the expense of the belt thereby forfeiting his supposed "dream" of unifying the belts. They announced that fight before they knew that Golovkin would be stripped over it obviously. Else they gave up his "dream" rather easily, at which point he had nothing better going on than to pursue a bout with Canelo. Which he did and now he should just STFU because he didn't have to duck Derevyanchenko whom I've never even seen fight btw.Comment

And Canelo is slimmer and lighter, easily evidence he's working on stamina. Which is why I think it'll be a non-issue this time. He stood in the middle against Baldomir, who was larger and harder to move.repeat performance of Canelo vs cotto? I highly doubt that Canelo will be the aggressor coming forward as he was vs cotto and I highly doubt that ggg will be the one trying to use angles and move around the ring pole cotto did. I'm not sure where people get that Canelo was successful in the middle of the ring. He was inactive and not very effective, outlanded in 10 of 12 rounds and you're ignoring the fact that Canelos stamina prevents him from staying in the middle of the ring. He always tires which is why he tries to fight off the ropes.
And when I say Canelo/Cotto, I'm not referring to movement, I'm referring to strategy. Cotto's strategy was to catch Canelo with something he didn't see. That was a ****** strategy; unless as fast or faster than Floyd Mayweather Jr. But you see G bulking up big time this time. There's only one reason you'd do that: to catch your opponent with something.
But the ultimate outcome is that some thought the scores were too wide for Canelo, but nobody really thought Cotto won. That's what I expect will happen in this rematch.Comment

He's talking because he can't box with Canelo. He wants Canelo to trade. If Canelo was true MW size he probably would've put more hurt on GG last fight. All Canelo has to do is box. It's up to GG to take it to Canelo.Comment

I don't think a boxer can improve their stamina drastically 10 yrs into their pro career. At least not legally. Speaking of legal, Canelos leaner physique could be a result of the drug testing. Regarding cottos strategy vs canelo. I don't think his plan was to catch Canelo with something he didn't see. His strategy was to out box him which was probably his best option since canelo was outboxed by Floyd and looked to be outboxed by lara. Cotto was too small to fight any other way.And Canelo is slimmer and lighter, easily evidence he's working on stamina. Which is why I think it'll be a non-issue this time.
