You right.
Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez is taking the full blame for a pair of failed from February. Canelo came up positive for the banned substance clenbuterol. He was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for six months - and the situation forced him to withdraw from a scheduled rematch with Gennady Golovkin for May 5th.
Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) believes middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (38-0-1, 34 KOs) is continuing to bring up the failed drug tests in order to create an excuse for their upcoming rematch. The two boxers fought to a controversial twelve round split draw in September 2017. They meet for a second time for Golovkin's WBA, WBC, IBO world titles on September 15th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.Comment

I am not saying he did or he didn't deliberately use clenbuterol. I don't question Golovkin's record as a fighter. That speaks for itself. What I do take exception to is the sense from GGG and his camp that they are entitled to have Canelo line their pockets with money. Many saw it as a close fight and gave the nod to Golovkin. As for the "court of public opinion," as represented by some of the brain-dead cheerleaders who post on this site, well that is not worth a bucket of spit. Golovkin and his trainer looked for excuses immediately after the fight to explain his poor performance. They demanded and still demand that Canelo stand still, preferably one assumes with his hands down and chin up so GGG would do better. What the helll is that about? I can imagine how loudly people would have laughed if Roberto Duran complained that Sugar Ray moved too much in their second fight, or if scores of fighters complained that Roy Jones Jr. used too much speed and movement and made them miss. Why did GGG not attack and connect when Canelo was lying on the ropes and inviting him in -- because Canelo lit him up with counters.Fact is Canelo and canelo alone was the reason the fight was postponed and Golovkin and canelo lost out on millions back in may. Golovkin is rightfully pissed about the situation and is being asked questions in training.
Also poor performance?? Court of public opinion saw golovkin easily outpoint canelo last September. And canelo is a very skilled boxer himself. I guess anything short of a knockout for GGG and its a poor performance to peopleComment

Man, the whole GGG team is pathetic. They can’t go one interview without whining/complaining and begging that Alvarez stand and trade. Smh.Last edited by Senor_frogs; 08-10-2018, 12:12 PM.Comment
