I don't think we can say that with the amount of public statements that both sides have made. We KNOW that Hearn wants Wilder to sign the flat fee deal for April. He said it. We know that Joshua wants Wilder to sign the flat fee deal. He said it. We also know that Joshua said he wants to be undisputed. We know Wilder won't sign the flat fee deal. He said it.

What else is there to know? Lewis has simply said that Joshua should order Hearn to make an offer that gets the fight made. Now to you, a person who has lived the experience of being a champion and negotiating big fights should NOT have an opinion or speak his opinion on another champion negotiating a big fight. Who then deserves to convey their opinion? Can he not say the same things we've been saying for the last 4 months?

    • I'm not taking any sides here, it looks to be 6-and-1 where these two are involved. They are both to blame for this not happening.

Saying that, Wilder sounds fckin nuts here and is chatting absolute waffle...

"We knew the April fight wasn’t gonna happen when Eddie Hearn sent the contract and Joshua come out here, advertising and putting out to his fans that he signed the damn contract, and when we get the contract, Eddie Hearn’s name is on it. I said, ‘Look at this *****!’" LOL - is he saying Hearn sent a contract to fight Wilder himself? This contract talk is so boring.

"We’re showing him how you’re supposed to do it. If Fury wins, I’ll get in the ring and we’ll promote the fight. We’ll officially announce it and we’ll go from there.”... Ummmm like Joshua and Wlad did for their fight??

"If they don’t, they can keep giving their wages to them. And when you can’t pay your rent next month, don’t be crying.” LOL! WTF is he on about... Stop worrying about British peoples financial control and relax...

Sad thing is we just wanna see the fight... DAZN will surely be the new stumbling block in 2019

Never argued the facts. He did face champions. However, as I said, the why and the what it means moving forward is debatable. And if its not debatable, they should just shut the comment section down because what's the point of talking boxing without that debate. By your logic, Martin should carry as much weight as Joshua since they were both champions. No, we should not ignore the fact that Martin has lived in obscurity since he won the IBF by the fault (he was losing the fight) and then sold the belt to Hearn for Joshua, nor should we ignore the fact that Klitschko retired after his 2nd straight loss at the age of 41, nor should we ignore the fact that Parker has lost both fights where he didn't fight pillow fisted B level fighters. Its a factor when you consider who wins a match up. Its a factor when you formulate our top 10 all time or whatever list you're discussing with your mates.
Do you know what I like about you? its that you write well and when your not using words that I don’t understand the true meaning of I occasionally zone in on your narrative and I just have to say

Charles Martin has managed to climb out of the wilderness and he is in the top 10 of I can’t recall what organisation. Meanwhile Stiverne, Arreolo,Molina are where exactly? Like you said I’m not paying no emphasis to past opponents we just have to accept the position we are in now and you also. I want the fight , you want the fight . You think we don’t want the fight I think we do so hence the impasse.

Forget public statements and trying to win points in the media/public. We are NOT prior to the real discussions. Lewis has zero knowledge in that regards too... irrespective of his status as a former champion. It’s like when Mayweather and Tyson told Wilder what to do, telling Wilder he’s the B-side etc. They know nothing in regards to those negotiations and why Wilder turns down offers to him, they only go by their own careers which has nothing to do with Wilder.

Charles was a great champion and if not for the might of Joshua I have no doubt in my mind he will probably still be champ. The fight between him and Joshua he done some clever stuff in there that he didn’t get credit for. It was a back and forth contestfor 2 rounds but give Martin his due....... without him we wouldn’t have the IBF belt. I will be forever grateful. However as for the worst champion that title goes to no other than yours truly

No I’m just playing but if we can’t beat this ,we don’t deserve to hold any belts

The difference between Lewis and me, you, and the other NSB posters is....HE ACTUALLY GETS TO TALK TO ONE SIDE. Recall the article quoted him as saying he talked to Wilder. As such, I'm not sure arguing that he's not privy to the real discussions isn't as insightful as most of your post generally are.

Of course he talks to the people close to the thing, I have no doubt. He still ain't at the table.

He goes by what he has been told. He isn't a Joshua fan nor am i, he is more of a Wilder fan and i have zero issues with that.

And i think he is also jealous of the way the british people took to Joshua, something he didn't experience here until later on in his career over here.

He achieved a lot and had to prove his britishness many times over, people have taken to Joshua easily than what he went through. You can almost tell from his messages that he is jealous.

I agree with that notion 100%
