I think GGG and Bud have risen based more on accomplishments than great opponents. You rise either two ways-beating great fighters or having long runs and making good fighters look like crap which both have done very well. But I don't think either has a clearcut case over the other.
    I agree........

Strangely, no. I think it SHOULD because I think he beat Canelo but when it comes down to it, Danny Jacobs is the only name of value and he's really nothing special. I'd have to give it to Crawford.

They are fairly even probably Crawford's overall but GGG did beat Canelo so that brings it a little closer. Bud had it easier getting unified at 140 than GGG at 160 but nonetheless that's an accomplishment (undisputed) he has that GGG doesn't have and he also cleaned house at 135. I'm not a huge fan of division hopping so the title won against Horn doesn't really register fully but I feel his accomplishment of cleaning two divisions trumps GGG's long run (20 defenses, 17 KO's streak). He's also a more skilled and talented fighter overall IMO and that's primarily why I have him 2-3 spots higher p4p.

I think if both retired today perhaps GGG is remembered more (KO's, fought on bigger stages) but I think the hardcore would say Bud had the better career.

Jacobs and Canelo would have been good wins, true. The thing is, I just didn't see Golovkin win those fights. I had him losing them.

I don't elevate Luiz, there is no need to. Luiz never got dominated for 12 rounds by a much smaller fighter, Luiz never got gift decisions against Lara/Trout types and Luiz never was knocked out by PIROG... I'll just let history speak for itself.

Both have pathetic and **** resumes for supposed top p4p fighters. Both are hype jobs. Imo, GGG's garbage resume > Crawford's dog **** resume. Fighting Canelo is better than anyone Crawford has or will face while being with Top Rank.

Canelo and Jacobs are better wins than what Crawford's ever managed.

Neither resumes are very good to be honest

But the difference between Gennady and Bud is that’s gennady wasn’t given any opportunities when he started and had to claw his way to the top while being avoided by the notable names
Buds been a Top Rank darling for years and is able to get him big names / fights if they chose. Top Rank can cherry pick a Indongo for all the straps or have the clout for Bud to fight Burns or Gamboa and those aren’t the same opportunities Gennady has even with K2

lmao gary. I didn't even quote you. Why did me saying "all the other brotha's you suck up" automatically connect me talking to you?

But if you feel Crawford has a better resume then you say why. Folks already say why GGG has a better one, where's yours

but yea, lmao at you thinking I'm talking about you just cuz I said "sucking up the brothas"

GGG's win against jacobs is better than any win crawford has on his resume.
