Hearn bid 850k.. he beat pulevs own promoter ! They both lost to a relatively unknown party who bid nearly double what they did..with the sole intention of selling the territory rights for vastly inflated prices.

What is it about this instance that you don't get ?..it isn't good business to bid over 1.5 million for that fight , pay Pulev 75% of that and still pay Whyte his contracted guarantee on top of the 25 % remainder when you can't put it on PPV and all you do is lose money .

Hearn did the right thing by bringing in Parker for Whyte.. making it a WBO eliminator further strengthening whytes rankings ,plonking it on PPV because he knew it would sell well .. and it did. Over 400k buys.

As for miller.. the same as above. Miller is on guaranteed purses !! So you're chucking money at Pulev and for what? For a borefest and probably Pulev decision win on your opening show? With miller still contracted for X fights on insane money?

It's ****** business . Hence hennessy has gone right to Sofia for it with no arguments because he has zero money to win a bid and Hughie has no other avenues to go down in the division.
    Shouldn't have said it better

Good job Hughie, just don't run for the whole fight.
Hughie's biggest fight was against Joseph Parker, a fighter that both Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte have now beaten, your logic doesn't really make much sense.

Tyson is just cashing out because he's lost what he had back in 2015 and it isn't looking like he's going to get it back.

Hughie Fury is not going to win in Bulgaria with his style of boxing. Pulev on points.

I know they've been working on bringing more aggression to his game since the Parker loss.

To be fair, had he let his hands go a bit more in that fight, he could've won it. I think he felt he could steal a decision in his hometown by moving and potshotting.

It was a good lesson for him i think. He was still young and it was a big jump in levels and he didn't do bad or get outclassed. If he learns from his mistakes, he can be a very decent fighter.

He needs a convincing win over Pulev though, if he wants to show he can mix it at a high level in the division today. Big fight for Hughie this..

You could be right about Tyson, time will tell on that.

As for Hughie, at that time Parker was a champ and he was just an up & coming fringe player in the division, so it was a challenge and a risk, that's why he ran for most of the bout. He didn't know Parker was beatable.

Say what? Hughie dropped his balls on the ground and ran when he realized he had to go to New Zealand. He couldn't even communicate it - rather, he just didn't turn up.

And still lost in his backyard later on.

Yea well nobody wants to go to NZ to box, that's already a fact. No market, the only other close one is Australia and that isn't going to do much money wise either.

**Don't get me wrong, I'd go to NZ in a heartbeat, just for the snapper fishing. It'd be one of my lifetime bucket list trips.**

Just don't dismiss the fact that Hughie, as a fringe upcoming heavy took a stab at an established champion in Parker, when he wasn't even a top ten contender.

So what if he ran like a sissy for 12 rounds.
