by a guy like Bivol. Don't you think he'd prefer a Montreal
showdown against Stevenson instead? That'd be for the
real title, make him more money, and he probably thinks
he can win. Pascal is also ranked #7 at cruiserweight by
Boxrec. Who knows what he plans to do.

I'm just saying Pascal didn't come back to be a
stepping stone for a talented young fighter who
is almost certain to beat him. I will be surprised
if he goes in that direction when there are a number
of other lucrative fights that Pascal could pursue,
and they may or may not be more winnable for him.
I agree that, from Bivol's perspective, Pascal is an
attractive opponent. He's just not as attractive to
Pascal as other opponents may be.

Everyone fantasizing about a make believe win by Kovalev seem to have forgotten what reality looked like - Alvarez took Kovalev's best and went nowhere. When Alvarez found the range it was game over. You don't just bounce back from that type of brutal finish. It will take a little more away from Kovalev physically and will have him doubting himself. Alvarez by late round tko next time that will retire Kovalev for good.
