He didn't have a game plan though. He thought he would get an early knockout and be the first guy to stop Velez. Neither happened. Instead, he spent the ladder half of the fight running around and clinching which is why the crowd was booing. Velez fought awkwardly not like his previous fights it's as if he came to lose but didn't care cause he got paid a good amount. As for Gesta, he beat Manzanarez in his last fight who is a way better fighter than Garcia. GB is treading softly with this kid. Regardless, Morales easily exposes him.

This is what I'm talking about Lopez ANOTHER prospect is 2 years older then Garcia and still isn't fighting ANYONE of the caliber of Velez and Morales. Lopez just fought a brazillian bum who is ranked 241th in his weight class by boxrec. His fight before that he fought a bum ranked 314th in his weight. And those are the 2 best opponents he has ever faced. Who knows what Lopez would look like if he fought anyone with a pulse. Velez has only lost to top fighters and never been knocked out and was ranked 30th in his weight class by boxrec heading into the Garcia fight. Even after his loss he's ranked 52. Morales is ranked 59th. Ryan is younger and fighting top 30-50 ranked fighters already. Lopez older and isn't even fighting top 200 ranked fighters yet. Ryan destroyed everyone he faced quickly at that level too. Took a huge step up and fought Velez who has been on the world class level and only has losses to top fighters. Dominates Velez wins every round busts him up worse then anyone prior but doesn't knock him out and now that means Ryan isn't good? Well Lopez just this Feb went the distance with a bum with 14 losses on his record and is ranked 374.

Only in boxing do you get more credit for being older and KO'ing club fighters then you do for being younger and beating real opponents. And I like lopez I think him and Ryan will both be world champs. Both are extremely young and will only get better.

He's got great potential and he's real young, obviously there is a lot of room for improvement. I follow him on IG though (because I follow tons of boxers so I don't miss fights) and he is annoying as fuuuck, from a strictly personal standpoint I would love to see him get KOed.
