What teenage prospects are fighting guys at the level of Velez and Morales back to back? Stop hating. These are legit opponents while fighters Garcia's age are fighting club fighters with double digit losses that nobody has ever heard of. Morales gave Machado a tough fight just last year and had Machado holding on for dear life in the final round. Morales went half a decade without losing to anyone except Machado who is a world champ. And has never been knocked out and that's saying something with how hard a puncher Machado is. If Ryan can beat him worse or stop him like Machado couldn't that's a huge statement.

What game plan did Garcia have fighting Velez? Use speed punches to get the knock out? That wasn't very effective. What's the game plan fighting Morales? Work on body shots? Good luck fighting an opponent who knows more about body punches. The only saving grace (unless Garcia doesn't make it to the 10th round) this kid has are the judges by decision. What happened with him possibly fighting Mercito Gesta? Did GB think that was too much for Garcia to handle?

This is what I'm talking about Lopez ANOTHER prospect is 2 years older then Garcia and still isn't fighting ANYONE of the caliber of Velez and Morales. Lopez just fought a brazillian bum who is ranked 241th in his weight class by boxrec. His fight before that he fought a bum ranked 314th in his weight. And those are the 2 best opponents he has ever faced. Who knows what Lopez would look like if he fought anyone with a pulse. Velez has only lost to top fighters and never been knocked out and was ranked 30th in his weight class by boxrec heading into the Garcia fight. Even after his loss he's ranked 52. Morales is ranked 59th. Ryan is younger and fighting top 30-50 ranked fighters already. Lopez older and isn't even fighting top 200 ranked fighters yet. Ryan destroyed everyone he faced quickly at that level too. Took a huge step up and fought Velez who has been on the world class level and only has losses to top fighters. Dominates Velez wins every round busts him up worse then anyone prior but doesn't knock him out and now that means Ryan isn't good? Well Lopez just this Feb went the distance with a bum with 14 losses on his record and is ranked 374.

Only in boxing do you get more credit for being older and KO'ing club fighters then you do for being younger and beating real opponents. And I like lopez I think him and Ryan will both be world champs. Both are extremely young and will only get better.
